With on site parking available , this recently refurbished B&B was ideal for our needs. Our room was large and airy with an enormous en-suite . The view from our room and from the dining room were wonderful , looking over Fairfield Horseshoe and the local park. Breakfast was a full English ,with plenty on it too .As we have... More

We've stayed at many B&B's in the Lake District and can class this as one of the best. The location was perfect for access into the centre of Ambleside, but if, like us, you enjoy the many walks around the area, it was the perfect location to be based from. The views over the fells from the breakfast room window... More

Stayed here with our young dog in Room 1. Greeted warmly by Helen who brought us a hot drink & some cake and joined us to fuss the pup and catch up with us. We also met other family members and everyone made us feel like we'd known them for ages. Room was fabulous! Big, light, well equipped with a... More

Brantholme is a family run B&B and so much more. My friend and I took two Irish Wolfhound puppies 17 weeks old. They were fussed and spoiled and well taken care of. The room had a door leading out into the garden, a secure area for them to play in. The rooms are large, very clean bright and well equipped.... More

My partner and I stayed here during the Easter holidays. It was great. The owners were lovely and very much 'dog' people. We brought our Rottweiler (1year old) who is quite a large dog to say the least. They were excellent with him, spoiling him rotten, (excuse the pun!) throughout the 2 nights we stayed there. It was very hot... More

I spent one night at this lovely B & B and loved it. Sadly I was stuck with my cousin so it wasn't exactly romantic (I won't even go into his chain saw quality snoring), but I'd come back to this place with a date for sure! Great view from out huge picture window, an amazing home cooked breakfast, Free... More

My cousin from the U.S. and I needed a place to stay in Ambleside and chose Brantholme. It's a nice easy 5 minute walk from the centre of town, off street parking available for residents, newly refurbished with very high standard of decor. Flat screen TVs with WiFi in every room. We had room 3 which was a very nice... More

We have just returned from a two night stay and I can only describe it as one of the best B&B's we've stayed in and our dog Fred was made to feel very welcome. Branthholme is tucked away in a quiet residential street just a two minute walk from the shops, bars and restaurants, and in our opinion was just... More

We loved having you to stay and we particularly enjoyed Fred's company! We really like room 5 too. As you say, it's a standard room, but with all the facilities of our Superior rooms, just a little less square footage. We're glad you liked the comfy bed and the breakfast. We wouldn't be a very good B&B if we didn't... More

This was our second stay at Brantholme since it was refurbished last year. And it just gets better. The hosts are wonderfully welcoming and the rooms are spacious, bright and very comfortably furnished. The huge super king bed was superb and the shower was warm and powerful. All of this would be enough in itself, but the fact that it... More

Ah, the glorious views! We just love them and are delighted when our guests fully appreciate them too. We can't all sit staring at them all day though, but it is pleasing to know that the town centre is close by and you can simply leave the car in our private car park! Thank you so much for returning to... More

After a recommendation from friends, my husband booked 2 nights stay at Brantholme as a surprise for our Wedding Anniversary. What a treat! Brantholme is one of the best places we've ever stayed. Helen, Ian, & the staff are amazing. They are very helpful and try to make sure everything is great for you, from helping you to plan your... More

"Recommendations" are our favourite kind of customers! It means we've done something right if people are trusting us to look after their friends! We're really glad you enjoyed your visit - it was a pleasure to be your hosts for your Wedding Anniversary surprise. You are very generous with you comments and though we like to think we're doing all... More
