On our arrival we were made to feel so welcome, Helen made us tea on arrival. Our room was lovely, the bathroom so big with a walk in shower and bath. Breakfast was lovely. Would certainly recommend booking. An excellent place to stay. Great location, so near Ambleside for a good selection of good restaurants.

We arrived the last weekend of November for 3 nights, the host was very friendly and we were show to our room which was lovely with a great view over the hills. The bathroom was amazing and the bedroom was quite large with 2 chairs to look out at the views, very very clean. The breakfast you could really have... More

We were made to feel very welcome- even offered a cup of tea on arrival. Our room was lovely. Very quiet with fantastic views, spacious and nicely decorated. I was very impressed that we had a bath and separate shower. The breakfast was great too and so was the location. Great views with no buildings to the rear of the... More

This is a really nice B & B on a quiet road in Ambleside. The rooms are very modern and spacious. Ours had a great view over a playing field to the hills. The room was very comfortable and had free WiFi too. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with locally sourced ingredients. We would... More

We stayed at the beautiful Brantholme B&B for a weekend in October and chose this B&B because it was dog friendly and because of the cost. We've only had our puppy for 6 months, so have no experience with dog friendly hotels/B&B's and we never expected it to be this lovely! From the very warm welcome from the owners and... More

We stayed in June 2015 (sorry for delay!) and were extremely well impressed. The welcome was superb, very friendly with tea & biscuits. We had a standard room which was immaculate and very well equipped. The full english breakfast was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it with lots of extras to choose from. Staff are lovely in... More

My 3rd time in 6 months at this wonderfully welcoming dog friendly B&B. My dad died in April from a rare cancer, me & my partner stayed with Archie dog in May & July to clear my head. I brought my mum in October, she wants to live here. Thank you. xxx
