This place does what it says on the tin. We found it last minute on our way north to Scotland and needed a stopover. The People who run this B&B do it right and as long as you are respectful they look after you so well. We were greeted by the lovely gentleman owner. He directed us to our free... More

Stayed here for two nights in January. Lovely little B&B with a perfect location in the heart of Ambleside and very welcoming and caring hosts. The breakfast was really good with a nice selection. For the price would definitely stay again

Very welcoming, comfortable and cosy place to stay. I booked the small single room and although it is small, still enough room to relax in and with the comfy bed and clean warm bedding it was even nice just to sit in the room and watch TV the odd time. Rooms cleaned regularly and breakfast served quickly and of a... More

A nice little B & B close to the centre of Ambleside. Clean and tidy with a nice breakfast selection. The room and ensuite were a little on the small side with no DVD player but for the price range it was good. Parking close by.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel is very clean and rooms are to a high standard. Bedding was very clean and to a great standard. The owners are just brilliant and the breakfast was one of the best I have had in the lakes. The whole stay is 5 stars from me and I will be back. Well done... More

We and our friends spent the weekend last week. The food (breakfast) was good and the rooms were spotless but the down side was that we agreed both rooms were too small. Would have preferred to pay a little more and had the extra room.

Stayed for just the one night in room 4, the large single en-suite. Room was cosy, clean and bed very comfortable. The proprietor Malcolm is extremely helpful, polite and professional. There have been a lot of negative comments about the car park, but Malcolm organises this very efficiently. He was on hand to help me park when I arrived and... More

On a recent trip to Scotland I decided to break the journey and stop in the Lake District. I chose the Walmer and I was pleased that I did. On arriving in the afternoon Malcolm gave me a very warm welcome and showed me to my room which was on the top floor at the rear of the building which... More
