Stayed at The Highfield B&B for two nights in May. Great location for walking into town or a stroll to lake Windermere. Free parking at the rear is a definite plus in Ambleside . What a fantastic B& B , perfect location 200yards from town center, off road parking , filling breakfast that hits the spot along with all its trimmings, spotlessly clean and Carole and Norman made us feel very welcome and were excellent hosts. I have stayed at Highfield with my boyf several times now and would highly recommend. It's a traditional b&b a minute's walk away from the chocolate-box town centre.
