A good real ale pub is a really nice location. The pub was very busy , which is a good sign. It has been sympathetically restored to provide accommodation and is very obviously popular for food. Staff were efficient and friendly. A really nice place to call for a break during a visit to the Windemere area.

Just popped in forlunch after my hols in the Lakes following a walk in the area. Had a lovely braised steak with new potatoes and veg. Absolutely excellent plus water and biscuits provided for my dog. I will be back.
