My Grandaughter bought us this short break for Christmas. We have never camped before, so this weekend in a Romany van was going to be a complete new experience for us both. Any fears we might have had were soon dispelled once we saw the site and then the vans. . Every thing was thought of by the owners ,... More

We have just returned home after a 4 day stay in the double yurt "Birch" and all 4 of us had a brilliant time. My daughters (11 and 10) loved the location of the yurt right in the middle of the woods and played out at every opportunity, building dens, swinging on the rope swing, whittling sticks and balancing on... Just returned from a short break staying in one of the Yurts,Rowan. It was our first Glamping holiday and it won't be our last. The yurt was really well equipped with two burners for cooking(gas supplied),plates etc and a wood burner with a supply of logs and kindling. As it was quite chilly in the evenings during our stay we... More

As a single dad with two kids under 8 this was a brilliant experience for three nights. The caravan was cosy (im 6' 1'') but having a separate kitchen with loads of space was great. Didnt really need a woodburner but lit it anyway for marshmallows on sticks, picked from the woods! Everything was nearby (lake, playground, showers) and ths... More

We were a family of 3. Two adults one child staying in the gypsy caravan and andrassi tent. We booked this due to its convenience of having everything on site as we were travelling here by train and suitcases full of clothes were enough to manage without the need to take tent, sleeping bags and cooking facilities etc. It was... Perfect - the yurt (Rowan) was big and cosy, kitchen area really well equipped, beds comfy. The 12volt charger was a nice touch too. Very much a luxurious camping experience - lighting the fire and curling up with a book as the sun went down was just bliss. Feels very wild as the yurts are in their own little area... More

We were really looking forward to our holiday in the Lake District and stay in a yurt. We were not disappointed! Firstly a big thanks to Alex as our car broke down on arrival to the site and he helped us push it to the car park. From the moment we opened the yurt, we knew we'd love it there.... More

Every thing and more that was advertised. We spent our bank holiday weekend in a yurt with our 3 year old son and it totally exceeded our expectations! It was lovely and cosy, had everything we needed and the surroundings were amazing. Our son loved the parks and fishing by the lake. The cheeky ducks on the hunt for food... More

We stayed over Easter for 3 nights. We had a great time it's our first time in a yurt so didn't know what to expect. The yurt was lovely & plenty big enough for four. We stayed here with a few friends for a celebration weekend and had a great time. There was plenty of firewood waiting for us, a good thing as it was cold outside, and the roaring log burning stoves made the yurt so toasty. Alex and Don had even left a bottle of wine in each yurt which was a lovely... More
