This hotel is central, new and with excellent parking although payable. From memory I'm sure that wifi is free. Better than the Holiday Inn. more

It's hard to get excited about HIE. They are a bit better than the travelodges and the like, but not massively so. This was a typically average experience, good location, clean, safe, comfy yet simple. The good: Wifi worked well (for free), TV was fine, location is excellent with a secure public car park which is very good value (£6/night,... more

Recently stayed here for one night, and thought it wasnt upto the usual Express Inn Standard. Positives Good Location - Right in the centre but easily accessible, as you would expect for a hotel built above a shopping centre / car park. Room & General Hotel Cleanliness - Clean and not worn. As to be expect from a hotel built... more

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. It had an excellent central location right next to the new Hull Truck Theatre, transport interchange and St Stephen's Shopping Centre. The staff were friendly and the bar staff made a lovely cup of tea! more

A very pleasant short stay in Hull (seriously), helped by the quality and location of this accomodation. Availability on Easter Weekend and a good deal (presumably because its predominantly a business hotel) is waht drew us to the Holiday Inn Express. Well it met and exceeded all our expectations. Parking at the back door out of the weather (only £5.50... more

This is a new Holiday Inn Express right next to the main station in Hull, as you would expect the rooms are large, clean and have everything you need, good TV, WiFi etc. Midweek at £69 is ok but not as cheap as other like the Ibis down the road but it's a lot better. more

The opening of this hotel has undoubtedly improved the budget offering in Hull City Centre and it's superbly located just opposite the new Paragon Interchange. In terms of price (£59 per night) including breakfast it is probably comparable with the likes of Ibis, Premier Inn and Travel Lodge for what was on offer. The staff seemed pleasant, my room was... more

Stayed here for one night. Room was ample. Free wi-fi was great. Room was very clean, warm, well lit and bed was comfortable. Television did not work properly. Breakfast taken on 1st floor (where reception was) was fine - only continental. Access is split - from Car Park direct into Reception, from street you must use the lift. Lift controlled... more

Having never stayed in any budget hotels before we really wasn't sure what to expect. I had read extensive reviews on here about the Holiday Inn Express in Hull and decided that it sounded like the perfect hotel location and price for a surprise birthday weekend for my wife. Location wise is perfect, its right next to the shopping centre... more
