Can't believe the bad reviews this hotel has had. The other reviewers have obviously not stayed in the Travelodge at Crewe Bartholomley - if they had they'd think this place was a palace! Admittedly our rooms were not quite ready on arrival ( due to a late delivery of linen) but the reception staff worked hard to get them ready... more

Where do I start? 1. Bedroom not set up for twin then extra bedding dumped in room when asked. 2. No towels had to ask. 3. No mattress protector on main bed and mattress could be seen through cheap sheet. 4. Mouldy windows. 5. Unsecure and dark carpark with big message as you enter hotel warning you not to leave... more

This is a below standard Travelodge. No towels, spare bed not made up although it was booked as a twin room. Dirty room including cob webs and spiders in the sofa bed when you pulled it out. I originally booked 2 rooms for 4 nights for a business trip, but we checked out after 1 night. There is nothing but... more

I stay here twice a year as it's cheap and near to where I need to be. It's ok and has what you need. Cleanliness is ok and the staff have always been helpful. The car park isn't secure and is dirty. The area has rat problems. (Not Travel Lodge's fault though.) There is a Little Chef which I haven't... more

Had to wait around 20 minutes for someone to come to reception, but when they did she was friendly and helpful. The room was as expected from a Travelodge, you get what you pay for. more

The room was located on the rear of the lodge as I requested to minimise the traffic noise from the adjacent A63/M62. That's where the positives end! Room 39, where do I start: The inside window frame was thick with mould, and the smell of blocked drains in the bathroom was further enhanced by the fact that the afore mentioned window... more

Booked an overnight stay here at short notice £50 for a family room which included a double bed and pull out sofa bed. Room was clean enough but showing signs of wear and tear. Bathroom slightly old fashioned but functional. Teletext on TV did not work and it only showed the four terrestrial channels. Had to ask for extra milk... more

This travelodge is situated on a busy duel carriage way and the only access is on the east bound carriageway towards Hull. This causes problems unless you are familiar with the area. Because this is the only way in it is also the only way out. it makes it very awkward especially if you want to nip out for anything... more
