Everything we needed and the staff team were excellent and very helpful. The room was clean and tidied everyday. The breakfast was good as much as you could eat and no charge for children. Staff really made the stay!

Lovely hotel, well located. As it's an old Victorian building the rooms are massive, but floor boards are squeaky and you can hear what's going on in other rooms. Nice touch to have left the old Wellington hotel stained glass windows on the main stair well.

We had a two night stay at Travelodge Tunbridge Wells and I would like to thank the staff again for their excellent service. Anita was especially attentive and polite and all staff were very professional and helpful. Lovely hotel also. 19/12/14-21/12/14.

Tired, scruffy and quite frankly appalling. We stayed last Saturday night as we were attending a family party in RTW. The public areas are in desperate need of renovation as are the corridors leading to the rooms, with peeling paint, shabby carpets and no artwork to brighten the place up. The bedroom furniture was scruffy as was the decor. The... More

Arrived and found the whole building covered in scaffolding & plastic. OK, so external renervation being undertaken - but what about the inside? My room was very small, with the appearance of a loft extension. Sloping wall blocked out the light from the small window and the dressing table area was too dark for me to use. One central light... This is a lovely, imposing hotel, faded grandeur probably describes it best....lovely staircase and decorated windows on the stairwell, and very wide hallways. It was undergoing a massive renovation when we stayed so there was scaffolding outside the windows, and some coning off in the hotel itself. The room was fine, as was the ensuite, and the staff were friendly.... More

We used this for a stop over and it was good. The building is quite imposing and while the rooms are a little tired, a comprehensive refurb is underway so I think this will be great once completed. The staff were absolutely brilliant, really friendly and helpful.

We stayed here on Saturday 22nd October. The staff were very polite and helpful. The travel lodge is well placed for easy access to the Assembly Rooms. The Travel Lodge is undergoing a refurbishment. The accommodation we stayed in was quite small. The room cleanliness was satisfactory. The decor was shabby. Linen was clean. Bed was comfortable. Could have done... More

Stayed here for 1 night and was taken aback by how nice the building was. The hotel is being re furbished. The room was clean and tidy, clean bathroom. The rooms are dated but clean. Breakfast was good value. The only downside was the room was too hot!

My wife and I used this hotel as a base to stay with our friends getting married in Tunbridge Wells. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that we would have to pay a £3 parking charge per night (which we were fine with), however upon meeting friends in the bar they told us they were advised they didn't...
