When booking into a Travelodge you must have certain expectations. A clean and comfortable room at a fair and competitive price. That is exactly what was expected and received in the 12 days I stayed there with my wife and son in a family room. This hotel is undergoing renovations so our room was little worn around the edges as... More

Besides the creaky floor boards this building is amazing. Some rooms (especially family rooms) are huge. Stayed here as a large party for the wedding so got to peak in quite a few rooms and was pleasantly surprised with most of them. Breakfast is great however the rest of the menu was a bit of a let down. Staff here... More

A pretty building currently under re-furbishment but which will be charming when complete. Unlike some budget hotels, it is small and on a friendly scale. Excellent staff made our brief stay very simple. The breakfast was good and although everything in the room had a budget feel, everything was well designed and worked.

I always find with Travelodge you know you're going to get a clean room with a comfortable bed at a good price. We stayed in a refurbished room on the third floor which was nice, although it had sloping ceilings which my boyfriend hit his head on several times. I think if you were on the first or second floor... More

The hotel is currently being refurbished and the rooms that had been completed were of a very good standard. I did worry after reading other reviews but the staff and accommodation could not be faulted

The level of customer service enjoyed at this hotel was fantastic. All of the staff were very attentive but Reece stood out. You should all be very proud of the good work you are doing. We will be returning for sure. They say you should judge by the level of service - this was five star !!

Booked a one-night stay at last minute for a night out with friends. The hotel is in a nice location overlooking the Common. It's an old building and does not look like the normal Travelodge. There is a lot of refurbishment going on externally - the building is covered in scaffolding and hoardings. Internally the decor and fittings are very... More

Very disappointed. We were informed of improvement works going on but no compensation offered. After making a fuss In the end we were given free breakfast. However we paid from £30 to £60 for the five rooms (why such a difference when all booked within a month I don't know) none of the rooms were decent. One you couldn't even stand up... More

A Grand old building with high celings and squeeky floorboards, showing its age a little in places, but nothing more than expected. Refurbished rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent, very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was ok (sausage, bacon, eggs, etc) but you could probably get better in Tunbridge Wells for the price. Overall worth the money... I was booked in for two days for a wedding. The staff were very organised, having remembered a request I had made months previously, also they were aware of something I was having delivered to the hotel that weekend for the wedding. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was basic, modern and clean. The bed was the best bit... More
