Stayed here for wedding anniversary and to attend concert at Assembly Rooms which are just across the road. Hotel is well located for all shipping areas and walking distance to the Pantiles, whilst TW is a good centre for exploring Kent countryside with car. Staff are excellent and attentive - very well trained and friendly. Rooms are similar in style... More

I am absolutely bowled over by the beautiful afternoon tea that was presented to my partner and I on our recent stay. I booked a gin and tonic afternoon tea, for my partners treat for his birthday. Well.... Being gluten free, I got a choice of sandwiches, gluten free scone and cakes. My partner got a platter of sandwiches and... More

Title says it all really. Staff are great and know what they're doing - unlike some restaurants in town. The bar is full of popular and more unusual beverages with comfortable chairs. I've always found the food a bit bland / safe / predictable but maybe that's just me.

I stay in hotels much of the time for work so we decided to pay a bit extra for a principle room while staying a couple of nights for a wedding close to Tunbridge. The room was absolutely fantastic - loads of little extras - the bathroom was huge and wonderful - well well worth the extra bit of cash.... More

(i) We booked a 'Superior' room in the Cottage - a little annex building away from the main hotel. The room itself was lovely - comfy bed, clean and modern, spacious, great looking bathroom. Problems (i) The shower drain was blocked and I was left standing in a puddle of water and the water overflowed alarmingly into the room! The... More

We have stayed here twice. The first time was a last minute stay so we had a tiny room, but perfectly nice. This time we were upgraded to a superior room overlooking the garden which was lovely. Both times we ate in the Bistro where the food is excellent, though it was very busy.We have also had lunch here in the garden outside... More

Arranging an event for 35 people at short notice, we were very impressed with their approach, efficiency and ability to deliver. Beautiful surroundings, professionalism and great food & wine - a fabulous afternoon!

A very pleasant surprise, being a large chain i wasn't expecting much character or helpful staff but i was wrong on both counts. We took the standard room which was perfect had period features lovely large comfy bed fireplace large bath and monsoon shower over bath with underfloor heating. The hotel is a grand victorian building tastefully decorated, staff very... More

Hotel a bit too shabby chic. Queen size bed is just a double. Bedroom was small. Can not read using bedside light. Chairs in bar and stools very low, old and uncomfortable. Restaurant and service good though 10% added for service which I did not see on the menu. Atmosphere helped by sonic boom which occurred in Kent! Tip -... More
