Engaging staff , very helpful and accommodative of needs. Room was lovely and probably one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in . Very traditional hotel without being stuffy . Service in the restaurant can be a little slow but did not spoil a very enjoyable stay

My auntie and uncle stayed here and they got a free upgrade to a superior room which was spacious and light. Someone said to me that the standard rooms were a little small but I haven't personally seen them. The hotel is very old and beautiful and I will tell all future visitors that can't fit in my house to... More

This is an historic hotel in the centre of Tunbridge Wells with beautifully appointed public rooms and friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant serves excellent meals and there is a large garden, The lighting is atmospherically dim which gives romantic ambience in the bar and restaurant, but was not so good in the bedroom lit with only three small bulbs,... After not managing to book a room for our stay in Tunbridge Wells, we thought we´d try the Bistro for a sunday meal. The roast lunch was preceded by a wonderful cold buffet that was surprisingly varied and full of quality dishes. The roast beef was cooked to perfection as were the trimmings. The wine was excellent, we tried an... More

The hotel is situated about half way between the shopping mall and the Pantiles. The building is tastefully decorated throughout. Our room on the second floor was large and well appointed, with a King Size bed, tea/coffee making facilities and mini-bar. The room had a very large bathroom with free-standing roll-top bath as well as a walk-in wet room. Breakfast... More

Stayed here for a wedding and was very impressed with attentiveness of staff, quality of food & drink and overall decor/design of the hotel. Checked in early afternoon and then went straight to the wedding downstairs.
