One night stay on a Sunday night. Hotel has had a fairly good refurb so no issues with decor. Service a bit inconsistent - some very helpful people but just lacking real warmth and attention to detail. Room size good but the night we stayed was muggy and the room had no discernible air conditioning despite being advertised. There was... More

Stayed there recently and room was excellent, clean and quiet. Staff were very helpful and excellent choice at breakfast. We had a walk round the gardens which were lovely but were in need of some tlc.

We booked this as a last minute deal with booking.com. Had fabulous large rooms. The hotel has a spa & small pool. The grounds are beautiful & just 5 minutes walk into the centre of Tunbridge Wells, though up hill coming back, so take the car or taxi! We didn't have breakfast as chose to go elsewhere due to other... More

Visited with my wife for a night away and to use the spa facilities. This is very much a hotel with a small pool and treatment rooms rather than a spa. The treatments were great but in no way were the facilities luxurious. We had booked to have dinner in the Chandelier restaurant, a lovely large room but as only... More

This hotel is truly beautiful. The rooms are lovely, many with views of the gardens/lake out the back. The restaurant deserves a special mention as the food is quite wonderful and is good for a special occasion/romantic night out. Don't bother with breakfast here though, this is overpriced and unimaginative. There are better places for breakfast/snacks down at the Pantiles... More

Loved this old, stylish hotel for just an overnight stay. However, the staff need some pointers on real customer care. Meal prices in the Brasserie are excessive for a fairly basic menu. . saw one customer expressing disgust at a meagre cheese board for which the charge was £13.95. This example needs looking at ! The Place is great if... More

This hotel seems to trade purely on its name and grand looking exterior. Once beyond the beautiful exterior the hotel is not worth the extortionate price and I struggle to see how it gained 4 stars. Parking was very hard to find - I made 5 laps around their one way system before finding a space. The room was not... More

We stayed here for 1 night, thought it was a very nice hotel. Had a fall in the shower which was one of those ones over a bath; really nasty bang on my leg that resulted in a bad painful bruise. I sent a suggestion to the hotel that they should get slip mats and send a photo of the... More

Thank you for your feedback. We do provide non slip bath mats in all of our bedrooms and I am sorry that your room does not appear to have been equipped with one on this occasion, which resulted in you slipping and hurting your leg. Having searched our guest feedback we did receive a suggestion regarding use of bath mats... More

Booked here as an overnight stay with a Spa session. Booked online and had calls to confirm aspects of stay. Was told they would try and have room ready for when we arrived , early 12 v but it wasn't. However cases were stored and after our spa treatment the room was ready and cases had been taken up. Room... More

I visited this hotel for a family wedding. The hotel is lovely and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food isn't that bad considering. There were some inconsistencies with portion size though which was slightly disappointing. The bar is quite expensive but I guess you have to expect that. We would possibly return again but only for a... More
