Just returned from 2 fantastic days staying with Camilla in her wonderful home. We stayed in the Balcony Suite and felt thoroughly spoiled during our visit. The attention to detail and the standard of accommodation is exemplary and Camilla goes out of her way to ensure that you have everything and more that you could possible need. The bedroom itself... Myself and 6 of my friends were attending our friends wedding in Tunbridge Wells the weekend of Friday 22nd May - Monday 25th May. We arrived at the Alconbury Guest House Friday evening after a 5/6 hour journey. Camilla greeted us at the door and showed us to our rooms which were extrememly clean, beds comfy, full of lovely vintage... More

The location and facilities were broadly fine. We felt rather like naughty school children with all the ‘instruction’ signs in the room and the plastic crockery at the breakfast table. We also thought it odd there was no spare loo roll in the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was mediocre and the ‘full English’ noticeably lacked sausages. Our hostess, I’m sure unintentionally,... More

We stayed here earlier in the year and found it to be poorly heated in the bedroom and the separate bathroom. Breakfast was basic and it was certainly not worth the money. Too far from the centre of Tunbridge Wells.

My mum and I stayed here the night before my intimate wedding and then mum stayed on for a night. I simply couldn't believe I stumbled across somewhere so magical. Camilla was an absolutely fine host and the ambience of the guesthouse made my wedding the fairy tale wedding I had never realised I wanted or could have. A bride... More

Can't rave enough about the fantastic room and service at the Alconbury Guest House. I stayed for 2 nights in the balcony suite for my wedding with my toddler. Camilla was the most welcoming host and straight away we felt at home. The first night was myself, maid of honour and my two year old, despite arriving quite late Camilla... More

We made a shortish detour here from the Avenue Verte cycle route from Paris to London and were well rewarded for the extra distance we had to cover. Your reviewer who remarked on the Edwardian ambience was spot on, both in terms of the decor and the warm welcome we received. Our en-suite room was large and comfortable, with only... More

We aim to make everyone's stay with us extra special and apologise that this guest had difficulties with the water heater. We have now increased the water pressure into the heater in the Bower Room and have had no further problems. We are also delighted to announce that as of the 6th of June 2014 we have been able to... I stayed in this guesthouse as recently as last week and loved every minute of it. As a family run establishment, they make you feel very relaxed and at home for the duration of your stay. The facilities in the room were great, with t.v, internet and microwave etc. all modern and working perfectly. The rooms themselves were very plushly... More

I stayed on two separate occasions in September of three nights and two nights. I had the same room on both occasions which came with twin-beds. The beds and furniture were comfortable and the room was large with plenty of storage for clothing. Breakfast was really whatever one wanted, and served in a very nice dining room downstairs. The owner,... More
