This hotel is a real gem. There are so many nice touches such as the paintings, the honesty bar, the pretty candles, the late breakfast and of course the friendly and helpful staff. I will definately recommend to freinds. Jonathan, London more

We stayed here for my husband's birthday weekend and were really pleased with our find. The room was small and overlooking the harbour - not too small though and really very cosy. Common areas were extremely homely, staff were friendly and helpful and the place was oozing with character. This all made for a special stay. more

Found it on the internet where it has a decent reputation. We were on the top floor in a family room, a fair old climb but as it happens our 5 year old granddaughter thought it was a great adventure, Family room had substantial bunk beds for the 'weans'. Excellent breakfasts and interesting public rooms, nice log fire and value... more

Books, vinyl records and an open fire by which to enjoy a nightcap from the honesty bar, this place draws me back every year as Ramsgate gets its act together. Rooms aren't the biggest but they are comfortable and at the front of the hotel offer great views over the harbour and out to sea. First class breakfast and nice... more

We stayed for one night over the Easter bank holiday. Seemed small & friendly and I liked the owner's approach to client feedback on Tripadvisor etc. We didn't expect to be blown away, but did expect the service to be better as I'd read all about the charmingness and warmth of the place. On arrival there was no sign of... more

Room was too small and not as described over the phone and had problems finding the manager to complain. This took several hours. Breakfast on the Sunday was cold and had to wait 20 minutes for them to provide a replacement. When the room was changed to a slightly larger one, the bathroom was tiny and had no towel rail.... more

We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It is run with care and imagination, with many nice small touches that make for a memorable stay (e.g. the selection of LPs, the Sunday papers, the cheese board left out, the honesty bar). We would definitely consider staying again. The only gripes were: - the room was on the top... more

We were searching on the internet to find somewhere congenial to stay in the area, and found all the great reviews here. Delighted to report that they are all well-deserved - we were not disappointed in the slightest. Loved all the artwork on the walls, the cosy atmosphere and fantastic views. Lovely bed, too. more

A wonderfully quirky hotel - superb views over harbour. The room was very clean - it was the little touches that made it a fab stay- a hot water bottle in the bed on one of the coldest nights of the year and complimentary cheese and biscuits during late evening .The honesty bar was fully stocked and very reasonable. We... more

Wanted to stay for a weekend break from the kids - to have a nice quiet meal and an uninterrupted nights sleep. Hotel was everything we expected and more. Helpful staff - the little touches were great as well - after we came back from dinner we spent the evening in front of a log fire playing cards etc and... more
