A very singular experience in Ramsgate: The staff is very gentle and intentioned, the building shows the marks of decades of life. Many paintings on walls are originals and tastefully. The breakfast was very rich and reniewed as needed. We recommand this hotel

Unusual style of hotel with quirky undertones. Made to feel very welcome by the staff. Had a cabin room on 2nd floor. Just the right size for two. Comfortable bed, lovely view out to sea. Breakfast was excellent. Good choice including lovely fresh strawberries and other berries. Help yourself smoked salmon and also cooked to order. Dont have the kippers... More

Booked within a few hours of arriving and very lucky to get the last two rooms. Really comfortable accommodation. Fabulous breakfast and very warm friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay and very reasonable price. If ever in the area again I would make an effort to book in here. The little garden at the... More

Stayed in top floor room overlooking the harbour and the view was stunning as the sun came up. Lovely comfy bed and the feather pillows are the best ever. Great room although tricky climbing up all the stairs with heels on and carrying a heavy bag. The people are wonderful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is... More

Royal Harbour is a stunning hotel with a view of Ramsgate Harbour. For £65 a night we stayed in a beautifully decorated, vintage style room with gorgeous antique furniture. Comfiest bed in the world, nespresso machine, heavy cotton towels, toiletries, turn down service, etc. So unexpected at the price we paid. It's in the Hall of Fame for winning a... More

Beautifully bohemian and blissful! The walls were adorned with old masters juxtaposed with contemporary art as well as marine antiquities. The fish......Best catch off the boat! We simply loved it! The Royal Harbour is by far our favourite hotel in Thanet! Can't wait to return!

If you were driving past and looking for a place to stay, you would probably not give The Royal Harbour a second glance. But once inside.... What a fascinating place. Quirky warm and very friendly, like entering someone's front room. There are lots of interesting paintings taking up every inch of every wall and plenty of curios. With a lovely... More

Royal Harbour Hotel sits above the main harbour in a crescent about 20 yards off the main road to / from the harbour. Excellently managed, any request was dealt with immediately.I'm a very light sleeper but the road traffic was never a problem, brilliant. No noise either from neighbours. We had a top floor room no 22 with a fantastic... More

We held a 2 day regional meeting here on Monday and Tuesday this week. We had a few teething problems with flip charts and timings first thing, but these were deftly resolved by the team. Excellent accommodation, food and service. Wish I didn't live so near or I would plan another trip 😀

We decided to sneak away to the Kent Coast for a night and were delighted to find this quirkly little hotel. The owner has done it up with great taste, flair and some wonderfully eccentric little touches. The staff could not have been more professional or pleasant. Our little yorkshire terrier joined us and was made very welcome too. I... More
