My partner and I stayed here earlier this month and we cannot wait to come again. This is a lovely unique hotel with wonderful staff and so very welcoming. The young manageress Hannah was extremely accommodating and made our stay all the more pleasurable. The night manager Richard was very professional and helpful with things to do in the area.... Another reviewer beat me to the phrase 'a home away from home' which gets it said. Our double room had been upgraded free of charge to more commodious accommodation. That got things off to a good start. Even though it was raining, the view across the harbour was great. This room was in a building which Wilkie Collins used to... More

Not what we expected looking at the website. Bedrooms are small - our bathroom is small no bath & shower takes 10 minutes to warm up slightly & leaks out over rest of bathroom as so small. Torn chair in bedroom as pic shows. Our room is on top floor 53 stair steps from street level & stairs very steep... More

I have stayed here several times over the past few years and am never disappointed. It's a real home away from home, with an honesty bar, record player, massive selection of magazines and (if the weather ever dips below Ramsgate's usual sunshine) roaring fires. This was my first time in the new part of the hotel, since it expanded into... More

Stayed here for a night, the town was disappointing but the hotel was great! Really comfortable with great views over the harbour and channel - make sure you book one of the rooms with a sea-view. We decided to eat dinner here. Fantastic, although there were delays so book early and set-aside the whole evening for it. Food was wonderful.... More

This is a lovely place for a short break by the sea. We came to visit the underground tunnels - definitely worth travelling to see. The hotel was great value when we booked, much better than the corporate chains we generally use, and included an excellent breakfast. We stayed for one night - family of 2 adults, a six year-old... Lovely hotel with views over the harbour. The hotel is split between a couple of buildings with the reception, lounge, breakfast room and some bedrooms in the main building and a number of bedrooms in a building two doors down. This doesn't really present any problems though, and our room in the annexe building was roomy, well equipped and had... More

Booked The Royal Harbour last minute, and found a real gem. The rooms may be small but they are very cosy and we had a wonderful view over the harbour. We were on the top floor and there are lots of steep, narrow stairs, so beware! The staff ere friendly and helpful, and the breakfast excellent. I had extra coffee... More
