Great for an overnight in Dover. Beautiful rooms and amazing service. Short walk to the waterfront and there restaurant recommendations were spot on. more

From the moment you step into the East Lee Guest House of Patricia and Michael Knight you know that you are in a special place. The furnishings are first class, the service is first class, the luxury Victorian bedroom and ensuite all set the scene for a very comfortable stay where the comfort of the guest is the priority. What a lovely place to stay before boarding on a cruise.  Nice, clean, cute, cozy, breakfast wonderful, couple running it were great, what can I say?  Stay here for a real treat, back in time.  The England we are all looking for.  more

Rather than book the usual business agency recommended hotel in Dover (typically the tired County or Churchill) I went for a £45 per night B&B. Limited on site parking but lots of safe street parking. B&B very pleasant with a nod toward traditional chintzy style. Room was very pleasant but a little small for anything more than a few days... more

Spent one night at the East Lee, 27-Nov-08, while in Dover to visit family. Walked there from the train station; a very doable 10-minute walk through the center of town. Room and house were pleasant and comfortable. Large breakfast was well-prepared and served. The night before, you tell the hosts what you want for breakfast, and what time you want... more

We stayed one night at East Lee in Dover. We had a very enjoyable stay here and can highly recommend to other travellers. Patricia was very welcoming of us on arrival and gave us some helpful printed information about the local area with some fine suggestions for eating out. The B&B was easily located and parking is available on the... more

East Lee has lovely rooms with comfortable beds and facilities, just what you need for a good night sleep. The owners Patricia and Michael make you feel very welcome and are excellent hosts. No private parking, but no problem to find a public one in short distance. Not far away from the castle, only some minutes to the center. Clean and nicely decorated rooms, a little bit old-fashioned (some might love this style). more

After nearly three weeks of travelling all over England, this B&B was definitely one of the high points of the trip. A magnificent Victorian mansion with all its ambiance as well as all the comforts and en suite like at home. Super clean too. Located on the main road just below Dover castle, close to local restaurants as well as... more

We thoroughly enjoyed the five nights we spent at East Lee B&B. Mike & Patricia were the definitive hosts(ess) -- always cheerful and helpful -- each day Mike willingly listened to our recap of the previous day's activities and made suggestions for the current day. Street parking was available, in addition to parking in the two-car garage. We rented a... more
