Nicely situated near the Dover ferry port and the famous White Cliffs - and within walking distance of Dover Castle, the seafront, and Dover's oldest pub - Huber House was welcoming and the room was comfortable. Peter, our host, immediately made us and our small dog feel comfortable and recommended a few sights to see and a couple places for... More

Stayed here recently with our two dogs and were not disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the comfort of a large bedroom, tastefully decorated. As we were leaving early the following morning prior to breakfast being served, the owner obligingly left us a breakfast tray in our room, so we did not go hungry. Adjacent to... More

I had to drive Bristol to Maastricht but didn't want to do it in one run so I stopped here and got the 8am ferry. The location is perfect, it is a 3 minute walk to the sea front where you can see the cliffs, and it is a 2 minute drive to the ferry port. There are 6 parking... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay before our ferry crossing. It is conveniently situated and can offer some parking. Our room at the front was pleasant and quiet. The breakfast was good and the owner was very hospitable. In short, we had everything for a good overnight stay and would happily use this guest house again.

We stayed in Hubert House Guesthouse when on a weekend trip to Dover, it merits the 4 stars awarded to it, it's not a modern building, but it is very homely, you receive a buffet breakfast as part of the booking, I went for the cooked breakfast costing extra, and very glad I did , the food was fresh and... We stayed in the Georgian Suite - a beautiful room with a four-poster bed and all the furniture and decorations that you'd expect in a room with this name. The owner goes to a lot of trouble to outfit the room; there was a really good range of toiletries, plus items such as dressing gowns, a shoe-shine kit and a... More

This is the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at. The house is beautiful, the owner is very hospitable and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. The continental breakfast is top-notch and the coffee is very good. I highly recommend the Hubert House.

My brother and I had a one night stopover at Hubert House before catching a ferry to Calais the following day. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and were very well appointed. The owner was very helpful and was a mine of information regarding cross channel swimmers and their record attempts. He had even visited Guernsey and had swum with Roger... More
