Taps not securely attached to washbasins, snail and slug trails across the carpets, showers that barely work, doors that don't always open from the inside were just a few of the treats in store for our party when we stayed for our father/grandfather's funeral. We stayed at the Clyffe for a weekend and thought the hotel was dreadful. The only good thing we can say is that the rooms are quite nicely decorated - although I had no bedside light.
