Spent a night at 'Longfield Guest House' while having a weekends away from the city life. Only a few minutes walk from the Railway Station and well-connected to the Town Centre. The place was very nice and clean. I stayed in a single room. The host (Mrs. Maria) was welcoming and friendly, she gave some ideas and information about local... More

I stayed here in March 2015 after cycling from Dartford in Kent (80 miles!). The local area isn't great but I wasn't there for a holiday. I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. My bike was locked in their rear garage for safe keeping. I stayed in a single room with TV, free Wi-Fi and tea making facilities.... More

Stayed here with friends as part of a cycling group where we had an early ferry next day. There is a lockup for our bikes which was great. The rooms are basic which is fine for us. Great price and friendly owners. Close to the station and town. will stay again. Average rating given purely for the basic room facilities.

If you need stable reliable Wifi (which most of the modern-world population does) don't stay here. Breakfast is also extra optional charge (so it isn't Bed and Breakfast) so by the time you factor in the added costs, you might as well go for Premier Inn.

The proprietor of the guesthouse is used to people stopping overnight prior to catching ferries and requests payment on arrival. Reasonable breakfast although unusually no cereal on offer prior to the cooked breakfast. The rooms are adequate, and reasonably clean (the single glass in the bathroom was dirty. The surrounding area is a bit rough, but so is Dover! Not... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and were very happy with the accommodation - we did have a car so it was not hassle to get into town for meals, otherwise it wouldhave been abit of a walk particularly in the rain. The room was comfortable and had an en suite and the breakfast was more than... More

While not a bad facility, Longfield Guest House is located in one of the worst neighborhoods in Dover (a fact later confirmed by a local resident). The day my sister and I arrived, two young adult men from a run-down house across the street (see photo) ran directly at us, shouting and waving their arms. While we were not attacked,... More

Avoid this place. The area is dirty and unsafe -- there is trash piled up all down the street. Though the house itself isn't that bad -- except for the food, which was pretty awful -- it is in the worst part of Dover (that's not to say that there are many nice places that are affordable in Dover). I... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Dover. It is a short walk from the train station and about 15 minutes away from the bus station. As I arrived the owner Maria greeted me and explained me about the area, where to go and how to reach the cruise terminal ( as I was visiting the next day). The... More

We stayed at Longfield Guest House for four nights while visiting family in Dover. We were given a warm welcome on our arrival. Our room was comfortable and cleaned daily, nothing was to much trouble for them. Highly recommended will be staying again.
