299 London Road is a beacon in an otherwise unglamorous Dover street. Its well maintained facade and shining red door are a portal to a very comfortable and quaint bed and breakfast within 5 minutes drive of the Dover Ferry terminal and a short walk from a superb Italian Restauarant called La Scala. The basement room is a spacious and... More

Thank you for your very kind review of your short stay with us. We do try to make our guests feel as though they are staying with friends and not an impersonal, soulless hotel. Of course it s not to everyone's taste but our repeat guests show us that we are going in the right direction. We take our guests... More

The host, Michael, was very welcoming and friendly throughout. In fact, he couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. The room itself was very cluttered with a strange mixture of artifacts, including hunting tapestries and photographs of a naked tattooed lady in the bathroom - not offensive personally but perhaps not suitable for a family with young children. The location... More

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and thank you for taking the time to write a review of your short stay. We are sorry that you consider Dover to be "derelict". We are certainly not a typical "chocolate box village". We are a very busy port and the gateway to Europe. Perhaps if you took a few days... More

Arriving in Dover, this B & B is very easy to get to, north on the roundabout from the sea front and there is London Road. Be careful, you need to keep notice of the numbers, 299 is on the left just before the hand carwash on the right. You are met by Bev and Michael, as well as Esme,... More

I only ever write reviews when they are exceptionally good or bad. This was perfection. Michael and Beverly were absolutely lovely and their B&B as close to home as you will get. When I phoned to confirm I was offered a pick up from the train station - but as it was only a 15-20 minute walk away I declined... More

Wonderful place, the best hotel ever! Very friendly and clean, only 10 minutes to the sea centre of Dover. Stunning breakfasts. And the owners of this b&b, Beverly and Michael, are very very friendly and helpful. I'd like to come back, really. Highly recommended.

The owners, Beverly and Michael, are the most hospitable hosts you'll ever meet. When we arrived, we mentioned that we would like to visit Canterbury and the next morning Beverly had not only dug up the timetable for the bus, but she had also looked up the addresses for some local eating establishments. As for Michael, he will fix your... More

Michael picked us up at the bus stop in Dover and drove us to the B&B. We had the lower level room with our own entrance. Nice room. Michael provided a full english breakfast that was very good. He will fix the eggs any way you want. He also drove us to the cruise port the day we were to... More

Michael responded to all our email inquiries and made suggestions on mode of travel to Dover from London. He even offered to pick us up at Dover Priory, though we walked instead, easy enough. Michael did drive us to the cruise terminal at 1:30 P.M. after our tour of Dover Castle. With additional guests arriving and his son's birthday he... More
