Charming old house with a charming old landlady. Located directly below the cliff below Dover Castle. We had the so called honeymoon suite, the Cream Room at the top - that is the third floor - expect no elevator! Shared bathroom with another room, but that was empty, so not a problem to us. View to the Channel - and... More

Thank you for taking time to review your stay. No elevator, clearly stated on website, cannot have one installed as grade 2 listed property. Cream room is only guest room upstairs, not shared bathroom, never has been, not sure how you came to this conclusion. As for WiFi. Functionality excellent, have invested in fibre optic system with BT. Coverage throughout... More

We stopped at The Loddington House on our return from France. The owners were waiting up for us despite our ferry being delayed and our arrival being fairly late. The welcome could not have been warmer. We were taken to our room and asked what time we required breakfast. No delays on the brekky. 8.30 ordered, 8.30 delivered to our... More

Basic stopover en route, clean, friendly and reliable. Good location for the port etc and the owner was very happy, friendly and helpful. The family room was perfect for our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Buzzer didn't work but we called the owner and were let in promptly with a very friendly welcome. The room (Pink room) was clean and overlooks the sea. There are double windows which reduces the amount of noise from the busy street below. As this street leads directly to the port there are many lorries that use it, obviously not... More

Very pleasant stay. The house is great, with unbeatable views over the sea and docks. The people who run the b&b are lovely: genuine and warm. Breakfast delicious! Atmosphere strangely calm, given the busy docks and road to the front. Dover a very under-rated town full of history and really worth exploring.

While I use Trip Advisor all the time, and that is how I found this amazing bed and breakfast, I have never actually written a review. I just had to because of how ecstatic I am to be here. Robert, the owner, is AMAZING- patient, and accommodating. The pictures do not do the place justice as it is incredibly breathtaking.... More

A very welcoming overnight stay in an excellent value for money B&B. We stopped off our our cycling trip to Brussels. The owner was very welcoming and put himself out for us, by allowing us to keep our 7 bikes in his private garage. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The hotel is well situated if you want a quick... More

I stayed overnight before a job interview. The owner was very helpful, sending me a text message while I was on my way down advising of parking availability and check in times, and responded promptly when I updated him with my ETA. On arrival he helped me pick a pub for dinner and gave clear directions. He also took my... More

We stayed for one night recently and really appreciated the owner's welcome and attention to detail. Had great sea views and a lovely lounge which we enjoyed too. Both continental and full breakfast were fresh and delicious and the location is amazing for the docks should you need it.

Welcoming staff, cozy old house with charisma. Only a few rooms and as we were the only guests we got to choose whichever we wanted. Although it faces a heavy trafficked road they have put in double windows so we weren't bothered at all. We could also choose our breakfast and what time we wanted it served. Parking right in...
