We enjoyed our short stay at the Loddington Hotel (although it should be labeled a B&B) It is a historic home charmingly made into a wonderful place to stay, and a short walk to the Ferry terminal and Coach drop-off . Robert, the owner, was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. Our room's view was of the White Cliffs... More

Though I was on the font of the hotel facing the main road (2nd floor) the road noise could be heard but was not really intrusive and definitely didn't stop me sleeping. Right from the word go the owner warmly greeted me and made sue I had everything I needed. If the castle is on your places to visit then... More

We had a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. We stayed in the pink room which had a nice comfy bed but the bathroom is across the hall and not really convenient. The sink in the room was almost blocked and a door fell off the shower cubicle. The room was clean but the bathroom/shower was showing signs... More

We were greeted by the owner and shown to our room, although no enquiries were made as to whether or not we'd eaten (we hadn't) or advice on where we might find somewhere to eat. Our room was clean and comfortable enough, although it lacked places to hang towels etc. We pre-ordered breakfast and had a very nice fruit salad... More

I apologise if I dealt with you and did not ask if you had Eaten, didn't realise that was a prerequisite when guests arrived. If you had have engaged me in conversation, I'm sure if I had dealt with you, I would have furnished you with the necessary advice, as this is my usual act. Towel rails are in all... More

We opted for the second floor front facing double room despite being aware of the traffic passing below the window. My husband spent childhood holidays in Dover at his grandparents flat in the area. The room was light and airy with twin beds which were comfortable. The bathroom is certainly due for an update as was past it's best. Desperately... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night while taking in the sights of Dover. It was the perfect choice for us since we wanted to stay close to the cliffs and the castle. We took a long walk along the cliffs the evening we arrived and then took the short drive to the castle the following day. We... More

A warm welcome and useful advice about eateries nearby. We had to make an early start to catch our ferry ( Some people may not consider 7am that early, but it is for us ). This meant we could not take breakfast so an offer of a room upgrade instead was most welcome. I must admit it seemed strange, though,... More

We were met with a great welcome and very well looked after during our one night stay. The owners are really nice people, they gave us good advice regarding restaurants and sightseeing and they booked the taxi to take us to the cruise ship terminal. Our room was lovely with sea view. We slept well and enjoyed our breakfasts. The... More

Superb welcome and breakfast and advice. Rooms are good and the whole hotel has wonderful character and charm. It's a reverse travelodge. We used it for the ferry and it is impossible to get closer. Daytime parking may be tricky there are no restrictions between 17:30 and 10:00
