Had a great reception at this guest house for our overnight stay, which was easy to find, within walking distance of town centre and on-street parking right outside (there is limited parking on-site). Only down side was that our room was on third floor and I found myself wishing I'd taken up the owner's offer to take our bags up!... More

Coming to this hotel is like coming home: your hosts make you feel perfectly welcome, a nice, familiar, not too big house where breakfast is outstanding and rooms are very sympathetic... with supercomfortable beds!

We were welcomed on arrival by Laz and shown to our accommodation which was clean and very comfortable. We had the option of a full English breakfast which we opted for. Great way to start the day. I would highly recommend Norman House for those who are on a budget but enjoy simple comforts. The Norman would not be suitable... More

My friends and I were backpacking and stayed a few nights in Dover. Owners were very accommodating, made a great breakfast, and had very clean and homey facilities. It's more cosy than extravagant, but we found it perfect. Very, very close to the train station and to town, and to Dover Castle. Would visit again.

Four friends and I took it upon ourselves recently to cycle from London to Dover. It was an exhausting experience, though a fun one, which lasted more than twelve hours. In the end we had to get the train from Folkstone, cold, tired and extremely wet (thank you British climate). We could not have asked for a more welcoming place... More

I stayed at the Norman Guest House along with 3 others this weekend for one night. We booked a family room, which was clean and well equipped. Conveniently located opposite the station. The owners went out of their way to make it a very pleasant stay. They offered great advice about what to see in Dover, and also arranged taxis... More

My husband and I spent one night here last weekend. For the price, it was a fantastic deal on accommodation and breakfast. We were greeted on arrival and welcomed. It is located very near the train station and just a short stay into town. They have plenty of brochures and offered advice on what to see. Great stay!

Just wonderful people with an incredibly GREAT breakfast! We LOVED being in Dover and felt very at home in their home away from home. It is right off of the train so easy access, and it is an easy walk to downtown and to the harbor and view of cliffs. We enjoyed a wonderful hike to the cliffs as well... More

The couple Laz and Dev maintain this hotel with great care. Place is small but very homely. Our place was on the topmost floor. Walking up was a good exercise but once you reach, they have a thoughtful chair to the left. Not that I needed it but I liked the thoughtful touch. Breakfast was friendly service. Being right outside... More
