Been staying here off and on since the late 1980's, and that was about the last time it was modernised. It is okay for a one night stop and very convenient for ferry port. Personally have found the staff friendly in what must be a challenging workplace, especially knowing the hotel is scheduled for demolition soon as part of the... More

Stayed here as got a ferry crossing early next day - good location for ferry - hotel very old and looks like it will be demolished soon and I think that's why no work or station to the ambiance has been taken since the 1980s - staff very very good thou nice people - hotel dirty and minging but surprisingly... I stayed overnight with 3 friends as we had a 0600 ferry. The hotel is old and tired, although our room was at least clean and tidy. It served it's purpose, a bed for the night before an early start. It is well located and you can park free right outside as long as you're away before 0900. No wifi.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms very very unclean. Stains over walls, ceilings and carpet. Beer in the bar is fowl, needs lines cleaning. I feel dirty being within the housing of the hotel, I feel like I will walk out with a disease. I would not stay here again.

We, like most people I'm sure, only stayed here to be close to our very early morning ferry crossing. As far as location goes, you cant beat it. That, unfortunately is its best feature. Although we had no horror stories like some other reviewers, this hotel has seen better days. Our room, whilst clean and tidy, was all miss-matched furniture... More

We arrived after 6pm back in August. The check in was the worst part of our stay. The girl on reception I think her name was Katrina was very unprofessional. When we first arrived she was just talking to staff members and seemed more interested in talking then seeing to us As we were filling in our forms she carried... More

Cheap hotel but ideal for town visit. Tv didn't work properly, shower temperature was not adjustable anymore, fosset leaked so the whole bathroom was a swimmimg pool. Beds were used up and we felt the springs in our back. I shall not recoment this hotel.

I stayed here with my wife for a stop over before i went to France. I was checked in by a guy in reception. If my memory serves me correct, i think his name was Matt. He was very polite and professional and nothing was to much bother. only a 2* So you can't expect everything but great value. The... More

This hotel (if you can even call it that) is seriously lacking! It is very outdated. The hotel and lift smelled of cigarette smoke. Yuck! The room was awful. One pillow per person. Remote control was only for freeview box - not that you got many channels like. I called and asked for shampoo. Was told that the only thing... More
