Parking is limited, you may be lucky to park on a bit of grass round the back, however please be aware of Police presence and what appears to be an anti-social behaviour issue. On entering the reception area you will be greeted by friendly staff who appear to be accompanied by a hoard of possible illegal immigrants, loitering around in... More

If you are simply looking for somewhere to lay your head prior to catching an early ferry then it serves it's purpose. The place is crying out for refurbishment it smells of damp and the painting that has been done looks like it was done with a broom! It's cheap and the room was clean (that's all the good things... Chose this hotel as it was the cheapest we could find that was really close to the ferry port. We arrived at midnight carrying a sleeping child and our bags and the guy on reception was very helpful and rushed out to hold the door open for us. Didnt have time for breakfast as had to leave before 7am so... More

I stayed at this hotel a couple of months ago and was disappointed - the bed was uncomfortable - the chef was "off sick" so no evening meal was available - the bathroom was not clean. However the staff were pleasant and as helpful and apologetic as they could be. I decided to give the place a 2nd try in... More

Awful, dirty, disgusting, and the rest. Worst we've ever experienced! Guy running reception useless. Bathroom disgustingly dirty - no cleaners on site and no cleaning products available but wouldn't be allowed to give to customers anyway. Hotel fully booked so no other rooms available and no others hotels with availability in close proximity. TV unwatchable but can't be sorted as... More

They say don't judge a book by its cover - please judge this hotel by its outside appearance!!! Worst hotel ever - one totally incompetent imbecile running reception. Room awful, bathroom disgusting, TV unwatchable and facilities dreadful! Booked for one night as close proximity for very early Dover ferry but would rather stay miles away than stay in this dump... My husband booked this as it was convenient, for the ferry port. We had 2 nights booked. The night before we went away, then a week later. When we first arrived I noticed a lot of rubbish outside the door, and that the building, ( exterior) looked old and shabby. When we entered. oooh, well it was dark and musty... More

The room was very spacious and very clean a bit old fashioned however it's not like I was paying for a 5star hotel it is 2star which people seem to forget by reading past reviews. I will... More

Stayed here for one night for an easy trip to the ferry the next morning. I first noticed the wood panelled reception and bar and liked the character of the place. Slightly changed my view when I saw the lift had carpet on its walls! The beds had sheets, not a duvet in sight. I went to check the car... More

We booked this hotel for a weekend trip to Dover and when we arrived we went into the reception to book in. Not only did they not have our booking but there was lots of people in reception complaining about their room, rooms that have not been cleaned and beds had been slept in and not changed but 90% of...
