This is one of the cheapest places to stay in Dover and is minutes away from the port. OK, so it needs updating, but you get what you pay for and the place is ideal for an overnight stay in Dover. If you want a luxury holiday however, then maybe you should choose somewhere else, but I have never met... More

The hotel fit the town itself - slightly shabby and in need of a facelift, however as it appears that the hotel is in an area planned for redevelopment understandable that is kept at minimum level. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful - extremely pleasant. Price reasonable for one night in the area (Dover appears very limited on... More

This must be the worst hotel experience I have ever had, so much so we refused to stay and after a 2-3 hour stay I eventually secured a refund and left the hotel to get a local b&b. We were given room 302 and it was shocking. Smelly and extremely dirty and with chicken wire on the balcony area outside... More

It's disgusting, it's a homeless hostel for down and outs and has some rather horrid people living here, the filth the smell the everything I'm surprised it's not shut down, the staff are rude, best thing to do is just leave, sleep in your car !! Seriously avoid this place!!

Plus points. £60 a night. 2 minute drive to ferry Minus points Dirty rooms Tv didn't work Sink blocked up Noisey But worst of all, lots of unsavoury looking blokes hanging around in the lobby and outside the door, they... We booked to stay one night,on arrival we were given room 304,the carpet was thick with dust, the mattress on the main bed was soiled along with the mattress protector, there were pubic hairs on the sheets, we had our one year old with us and I just couldn't bring myself to put him in the bath as it was... I've never seen such a tired run down hotel and room. My room stunk of smoke, everything in the bathroom was rusty if it hadn't fallen off the wall. The most disappointing thing for me was how the women on reception said my room number rather loudly for all to hear when checking in, and there were 3 men sitting... More

We booked the county hotel for a stopover on the way to france, about 4 weeks before our trip I rang the hotel to see if they had another room or family room as our party had increased, the person who I spoke to on reception said they couldn't accomodate us, so I informed them I would have to cancel,... Stayed this place as it is quite near to ferry. Rooms are ok staff of the two we saw we're just great, they have a 24 hour bar, full English, at a very reasonable price. My brother and I had a great time there with lots of laughs, with each other, staff, and a couple of guests, it was a... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for catching the ferry. The guy on the reception was friendly. The rooms were basic but clean. The parking is free and easy. Dover itself hasn't got a lot going for it, but a drive up to the top of the White Cliffs park the car and have a lovely walk along the... More
