Stayed for one night to be near ferry for morning crossing but smelt of cigarette smoke, TV was old style with digital set top box. Bed was clean but was blankets and sheets not the usual duvets seen in many hotels now. Tea and coffee making facilities in room but only two cups for a triple room. Turned the neating... More

Dear oh dear this was not good at all The Hotel is in urgent need of cleaning decorating and a general overhaul no wonder it was cheap.. The rooms smelt of smoke and people, unable to open windows due to road noise. The sheets were clean but the mattress had many lumps and needed replacing. We had four drinks at... More

This hotel was fantastic. Don't judge it by its outside appearance. Sure it's old fashioned inside, but it is full of character. We lived it here, the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The staff were very helpful and reassuring regarding the safety of our car. Limited parking sure but plenty if parking around the corner. Will definitely be... More

Parking is limited, you may be lucky to park on a bit of grass round the back, however please be aware of Police presence and what appears to be an anti-social behaviour issue. On entering the reception area you will be greeted by friendly staff who appear to be accompanied by a hoard of possible illegal immigrants, loitering around in... More

If you are simply looking for somewhere to lay your head prior to catching an early ferry then it serves it's purpose. The place is crying out for refurbishment it smells of damp and the painting that has been done looks like it was done with a broom! It's cheap and the room was clean (that's all the good things... Chose this hotel as it was the cheapest we could find that was really close to the ferry port. We arrived at midnight carrying a sleeping child and our bags and the guy on reception was very helpful and rushed out to hold the door open for us. Didnt have time for breakfast as had to leave before 7am so... More

I stayed at this hotel a couple of months ago and was disappointed - the bed was uncomfortable - the chef was "off sick" so no evening meal was available - the bathroom was not clean. However the staff were pleasant and as helpful and apologetic as they could be. I decided to give the place a 2nd try in... More

Awful, dirty, disgusting, and the rest. Worst we've ever experienced! Guy running reception useless. Bathroom disgustingly dirty - no cleaners on site and no cleaning products available but wouldn't be allowed to give to customers anyway. Hotel fully booked so no other rooms available and no others hotels with availability in close proximity. TV unwatchable but can't be sorted as... More

They say don't judge a book by its cover - please judge this hotel by its outside appearance!!! Worst hotel ever - one totally incompetent imbecile running reception. Room awful, bathroom disgusting, TV unwatchable and facilities dreadful! Booked for one night as close proximity for very early Dover ferry but would rather stay miles away than stay in this dump...
