We had a great experience here. Had the attic room so very peaceful. Great room and very comfortable. Breakfast was made to order. Host was lovely. Liked meeting them both. Would highly recommend. Very close to eating, White Cliffs and the castle.

A family wedding in Dover was the occasion and altogether we had a 6 or 7 of the rooms. I didn't hear a word of complaint from anyone (other than moans about Operation Stack causing traffic mayhem. The owners let us into the rooms early as we needed to get into our wedding togs after a tiring journey. They were... More

I went backpacking through England and France. Well Dover was my stop between the two (the ferries). I got to Dover earlier then I expected and had to find a place to stay rather quickly. After some searches, I found The West Bank Guest House and without looking too much into it, I booked a room. This trip of mine... More

We stayed one night on the way to France. The owners were friendly. The family room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn't eat so I cant rate the food. There's a secure car park which was why we chose to stay (as we had a car full of luggage). One downside is the price. At... More

I was told I couldn't use the Secure carpark as I was checking out too early (ferry booking). My single room had no bathroom facilities. Batteries in TV remote were flate. Had to boil kettle on floor at foot of bed as there was no outlet near table top. Water pressure in shower mediocre didn't even attempt to wash my... More

I asked for a quiet room & I got exactly what I wanted. We were in the top room & I could hardly hear traffic noise - lovely big windows if you do want them open. The room was cosy. The breakfast delicious, which made a good start to our day. The couple who run this place are lovely. We... More

Had a good stay with friendly owners who helpfully re-arranged our room when we had to alter our booking. Breakfast is a £6.50 extra charge but well worth it for a full English, cereal etc. Room was very clean and comfortable. The location is a 15 minute work into Dover centre but much closer to the train station.

We arrived to a warm welcome after a long day's travel. Very spacious room for us and our young son. Excellent full English breakfast with just the right amount of food! Owner very friendly - had a chat before departure. Would highly recommend.

A lovely run family business, the hosts were more than welcoming, pleasant and accommodating, we could of spent hours talking to them, like the hotel they were a pleasure to be around. The hotel sits perfectly with the surroundings quaint and traditional, and from a long five hours of traveling you could not ask for anything more than a warm... More
