Charged £320 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Rooms were small, dirty, very hot. No Air conditioning, very small showers could barley get in. Very old fashioned furniture, may have looked nice in 1965. Booked this because of the images and reviews which are clearly made up. Disgusting hovel, will never stay again or recommend this hotel to anyone. A... More

I love this place, right in heart of Dover, just minutes from docks, seaside and night life. We come to Dover about twice a year from The USA and wouldn't think of going to a cookie cutter place. Blake's has a beautiful cellar bar, a great menu, comfortable accommodation and the best staff you could ever meet. Highly recommend

I loved eating and drinking here, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so welcoming. A nice glass of red wine went down really well with our meal which was reasonably priced for the quantity they served you. Wasn't impressed with the previous owners but these new ones certainly know how to treat their customers.

I looked at the restraunt menu when compared with other palces i the same area it was quite pricey so I ate in town. The best thing about Blakes is the cellar bar. For what it offers there is better... More

Lovely quaint guest house, bar and restaurant. Real ales served in cellar bar and good food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. We stayed here for one night before getting the ferry to France, and would deffinatly use Blakes again. Very friendly staff.

I stayed one night only in Dover, and found the room to be adequate for the night. It was clean enough, the floor could have probably been vacuumed a little bit better though. Tea making facilities were good. Toiletries.. well, wall soap and a couple of blocks of soap, so if you want more toiletries bring your own. It was... More

Just had a fabulous meal, really tasty, plenty of it, cooked to perfection. Outstanding! Room is tidy, clean and well presented with lovely on suite. So far, so good. Give Blakes restaurant a visit, you pay for what you get.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was small but comfortable. Nice bathroom. Had a jug and tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits and hot chocolate. The restaurant served delicious food, and the pub downstairs had a lovely atmosphere and a good selection of local beer. The hot water system noise was a bit loud.
