Sorry for the late review, but thank you for the staying in this amazing room with all small details which make you feel like at home. Thank you to let us in with our shoes and pants full of mud, to bring us a brush to clean it and to let us wash our bikes the next morning. We highly... More

There's something so wonderful about staying at family run guest houses. The attention to detail is so much better than in a commercial hotel. Our stay with the Dimech family at the Churchill Guest House in Dover was no exception. Finding the guest house was a breeze and we were greeted by our gentle and caring host Alex. The rooms... We stayed in Spencer overlooking the car park [this did not matter as it is not large] A very quiet room, well decorated with ensuite shower room Breakfast served in our room is a nice touch [maybe a larger table required for the large breakfast!] Jon enjoyed the pie :) Alex was very welcoming and most approachable We shall certainly... Coming to Churchill was the perfect weekend away. Initially it was the proximity to the castle, cliffs, city and coach station that made it, but on getting here the room (Victoria Room) was even prettier than in the pictures, bathroom and tea rack really well stocked, bed was comfy, room was warm, wifi was good and overall it was just... Thank you for such a wonderful review, Megha. If there existed a similar review page for guests then you too would receive a glowing report. I hope your attempt at the breakfast pie is a great success, but remember the recipe I gave you is a (badly kept) secret ;) Best wishes from Dover, Alex. More

Two nights of salvation in these charming staires , walls , all kind of details and historical remainders !! If ewer there is a need to get inspired of a genuin Kentish/brittish atmosphere, ring the bell !!

The Churchill House in Dover was the most charming and comfortable place we stayed on our two week, five country vacation. They provided everything needed for a wonderful experience including. An English garden right off the bedroom with running water. The beds were coomfortable and the breakfasts delicious. We look forward to another trip to Dover. Susan Bailey

Thank you for your lovely review Susan and we're so happy you enjoyed the Victoria room and her private conservatory. At the present time, during the winter months, the reed walls of the conservatory are covered in ferns which looks fantastic, however, when you stayed with us during the summer the whole area was resplendent with colourful orchids which really... Nicely decorated room. Good bed and clean room. Not very creative breakfast options. Breakfast was average, but okay. Personally, I don't like having the owner sitting and talking to you in the same room as where I'm having my breakfast. I like a bit of privacy.

The room was small but so gorgeously decorated and we were very happy to stay. Enjoyed very nicely cooked English breakfast. The owner's whole family was so warm, kind, and very helpful. The house is located so close to the city center and very convenient.

Thank you for your very kind words, Onthevia. We're really glad you felt so comfortable and at home staying with us, and I hope the knee is feeling much better now after some proper rest.
