We stayed for one night to permit an early start when visiting local attractions, paying £78 B&B for an Executive Room on booking.com – this turned out to be a good bargain. The external appearance of the hotel could be better and its car park was up a steep slope. All staff members were professional and effective in their jobs.... More

We stayed at the St George for 2 nights whilst attending a friends wedding. We had an executive double room which overlooked the river. It was clean and comfortable although one of the windows did not close properly. The reception was held in one of the function rooms and was well catered for, even with another wedding being held in... More

Based on other reviews, I really didn't know what to expect, and local rumour was that it 'used to be nice.' Well, in my opinion, it still is. Very quiet room, with a view of the river. (Medway, so hardly Venician beauty, but hey, what can you expect?) The room was large, and clean, with hot chocolate on the tea... More

I booked just a one night stay for Sat 2nd Aug 2014 at short notice online and it was all straightforward. My stay was probably one of the most relaxing and pleasurable in a hotel that I can remember for a very long time. The staff I dealt with were all friendly and polite. The eve meal was very nice... Not the nicest of hotels, very noisy nothing much between the walls so you can hear allsorts of goings on. Surroundings quite depressing and that was even on a hot sunny day. Wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed here one night on our way to visit family. We got a really good price for hard to find single rooms. Rooms were fine, clean and no noise which is always good. Staff very nice and had car parking. Breakfast was included so I made the most of it and was very good. Only disappointment was the frontage of the... More

The staff were really nice friendly and helpful. The place though is in need of some work. There is a strange musty smell in the corridors and stair well and although the room was OK it was really in need of an update. The bathroom had a sort of walk in shower (basically a corner with a shower curtain) but... More

This hotel is really dismal. Walking through reception and the bar area is like being in a student hostel and as you reach the lift and stairs you are faced with a glass wall with a view of the entry to a car park! Rooms are clean but very drab - would be interested to know which room is shown... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night recently, the reception staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the hotel is rather tired and could do with a thorough clean and redecoration. We needed a twin room and were given the room for disabled access so the bathroom was a wet room, but I couldn't bring myself to use the... More

We had a family party at the hotel yesterday. On approaching the Hotel on the busy road it is unassuming. It improves as you walk through the door. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Very helpful and pleased to do so. We had a three course roast dinner lunch; very good, generous portions and nice and... More
