Myself and my partner made a booking months ago for valentines weekend. Today we have received a phone call and our room has been cancelled four days before we aren't meant to be staying! How on earth are we expected to find another hotel in Canterbury this short notice on Valentine's weekend!? Thank you very much!

Stayed here with my boyfriend in november 2015. This hotel is well located and is charming from the outside but a little bit over priced. As other customer said rooms are tiny, we've got the pilgrim room, not only the room is a shoe box but it is full of furniture which are way too big for the size of... More

We visit Canterbury alot and often stop here for a refreshment. We decided to stay over one weekend. The staff are lovely, the facilities are clean and bright. We had the Marlowe Suite and it was gorgeous. Really comfortable. Will definitely go again.

We engoyed the stay enough , we were woken up by people outside but you obviously can't put double glazing in a building this old , the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good . We were staying in the bridal suite so didn't have the problems some people have mentioned about room size

Stayed here in April 2015. The owner/manager Andrew is a great chap. Very friendly and helpful. Helped us in with our luggage and explained about the local area and history of the hotel. Andrew was also the main chef for breakfast, which was delicious. We had the full cooked English breakfast, and very nice too. The room (Dickens suite) had... More

The staff here were very helpful and made us feel welcome, that's about as far as the positives go! The room was nicely decorated but definitely needed a fresh coat of paint, it was small but had the space for everything you would need on a one / two night break - a visit any longer than this and you... normally stay in the hotel chains when in Canterbury. They are efficient, easy to book modern and offer a competitive price. I have been interested in staying at charming old Tudor bnb, but never really had the chance too. This particular trip, I had to extend my stay the hotel I'm staying couldnt accommodate me. I had a walk around... More

Got accused as we walked in, from the hotel manager for flooding which was not our fault, the manger is unprofessional. so if you want to go to a hotel which blame the customer for faulty system problem then this hotel will be the best for you

Well, maybe I should have realised that it would be a bad idea staying there after having made the booking via phone, I wasn’t really convinced that the booking was done. E-mailed them to have an e-mail confirmation from the hotel, no reply. Called them, no answer. After several e-mails and phone calls I got through to them saying that... More
