This was about the fifth or sixth time we've stayed here for an annual get-together. because of the friendly nature of the staff and the comfortable accommodation, a few years ago we extended our stay from one to two nights. We regularly have a 'late session' or two and are more than capably looked after by Carl, the night porter.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with friends. It was great to have a room for us three ladies. The hotel was clean. Rooms were even cleaned each morning, unusual as we was only there 2 nights, it was a pleasant surprise. Never ate there as it is around a 15 minute walk from the hotel into Canterbury. It had a... Some refurbishment has been obvious but it retains it's character of a traditional hotel. The staff were efficient and friendly, with seemingly nothing too difficult. The in house restaurant, set in a traditional dark interior provided the sense of tradition and a warmth to match the hospitality. A couple of times on really busy moments, drink orders needed reminding, but... More

My husband and two grown sons stayed at The Victoria for three nights in July. We had two rooms on the same floor, but quite a distance away from each other (which was ok). Our sons' room was larger with a twin bed and a queen size bed. Our room was a tiny room with barely enough room to get... More

Had a lovely stay at this hotel for a weekend. Lovely modern bedroom with plenty so storage space for everything. Friendly hotel and the staff were all very helpful. Good food with the added benefit of a Carvery. Plenty of choice for breakfast.. Large car park which is a must these days. We found there was not any noise from... More

Not so cheap and cheerful May be pushing but polite they were. On the evening I decided to stay over it had rooms available online , and was among the cheapest left with spaces. Whilst 65 is not too much it was less than travel lodge and premier inns as both were charging silly money . This is on a... More

We arrived quite late which we also had let the staff know. The welcome was okay, although we felt as a sort of inconvinience. The receptionist lacked social skills in a way that actually made communication difficult. The room was the size expected. VERY squeeky floor. Kettle was dirty and hairdryer was a fire hazard due to the amount of... More

Easy to park at their own lot on pleasant grounds with a 15 minute walk to the town center. We had a triple room with a very clean and modern bathroom. Food at the restaurant was excellent British fare. Mostly English tourists and locals. Service was very friendly and accommodating.

My daughter and I arrived on Friday evening at The Victoria Hotel in Canterbury for a family wedding. Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. The food was not only very good, but there was plenty of it. The room was clean and comfortable and apart from the pillows, (I... More
