The White House is the perfect weekend getaway place; it really is home from home. It is the attention to detail and the sense of care and pride in this B&B that mark it out as different from so many grotty, dingy places I have stayed in! Breakfast was delicious; I was delighted to find that soya milk was available... more

One of the top 3 places I ever stayed in the last 10 years. Only one word can describe the service at the White House: perfect. Alison and Gary made us feel like part of a real family. I still had to open the luggage van to unload the cases when Gary was already welcoming us with a sincere smile... more

Best B&B I've stayed in. Located only 10 minutes walk from Canterbury East Train Station. I stayed in room #2 for 3 nights, midweek. I am very picky, and I found no faults with these accomodations. Very comfortable bed, incredibly clean suite, very helpful hosts, massive bathroom with tub/shower, and absolutely delicious breakfast, especially the berry compote (yum), sausages, and... more

Booked the White house after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Stayed for one night whilst visiting friends. What a great find. Very warm and welcoming and the hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was like a home away from home. Very clean and comfortable room with Molton Brown toiletries ,which was a nice touch. Breakfast... more

What a wonderful place... set back on a small street but within minutes walk of Canterburys main shops and restaurants. We were warmly greeted by the owner who made us feel very at home and was really helpful and friendly. The modern/classic eclectic decor and interior design is beautiful throughout the hotel from the dining room to the bedroom and... more

Friendly, clean and beautifully decorated. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were beautiful, linen fresh ,clean and cosy. The bed was like sleeping in a big marshmallow! A very quiet location. The breakfast was relaxed and food very tasty with plenty of choice. Nearby overnight parking worked really well. Located just far enough from the highstreet to be both secluded... more

Delightful B&B tucked away in a quiet side street in centre of Canterbury. Very comfortable, with character and style. The hosts - Gary and Alison - were both warm and welcoming. Breakfast rounded off pleasurable experience. We very much look forward to a return visit. more

Another wonderfull stay in the white house. It is my first choice when I stay in Canterbury and I’m at a bit of a loss when it’s not available. As usual the owners couldn’t have been nicer, the room number 7, which had just recently been decorated was beautiful, comfy comfy bed with gorgeous linen. Breakfast was really tasty and... more

We stayed at The White House in Canterbury based on the many positive previous TripAdvisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. Its a charming B&B w luxurious rooms run by the charming and very helpful Alison and Gary. We stayed in the king bed room and the bed was huge, comfortable and littered w pillows and cushions. There were also... more
