I stayed 3 nights at the Yorke Lodge, by myself. The lodge is only a short walk to town, about 5min.s. The room was small, single bed.. had a fire place which I didn't use.. t.v. and a wonderful private bathroom & shower. Everything was very clean. They even had tea and biscuits in the room every day. perfect for... more

We stayed three nights at Yorke Lodge. From our first enquiry about vacancies the service was professional and friendly. The property was immaculately clean and absolutely beautifully decorated throughout. We were upgraded free-of-charge to a huge room at the back of the property with lovely views. Breakfast was served in a very pleasant room and locally sourced produce was used.... more

I have read the reviews and was initially put off by Traveller2005, but after other places were booked up so I tried here. It is in a great location, easily walkable to town (or uni) . Was met by a friendly owner, and my stay was no problem at all. They have a few car parking spaces where I parked,... more

Looking for an overnight stay in Canterbury we found this B&B via the Trip Advisor website. Encouraged by the reviews we decided to book a family room (2 adults plus two children of 8 and 10). The owner Vicky was extremely courteous and helpful over the phone to the extent of enquiring when we would be arriving so that she... more

I do note there is isn’t a lot of reviews for Yorke Lodge and we also got the last 2 rooms, though people do need to be warned about booking at Yorke Lodge in Canterbury. As with most accommodation establishments, the host is the friendliest, chattiest person you can meet – until you have paid your bill and then what... more

I first came across Yorke Lodge when searching for accommodation in Canterbury some years ago. I sent enquiries to several B&Bs and Vicky O'Shea was the first to answer. I am so glad she was because we have stayed in Yorke Lodge every time we happen to be in that corner of England. Vicky is a lovely and efficient hostess... more

I have been working away from home in Canterbury since July 05 and have tried most of the hotels in the area. Yorke Lodge is by far and away the best place to stay for the business traveller and excellent value for money. The rooms are spotlessly clean and welcoming, with books by the bedside, a dish of sweeties and... more
