Good points: Perfectly pleasant small hotel, our room, linen and ensuite were spotlessly clean, breakfast was efficiently served and well prepared. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Parking on site and 5 mins walk to the city centre. Downside: - Severe shortage of power points in the room meant that charging phones was a problem Also, we'd booked through Expedia... More

One of the best hotels I have stayed in Canterbury. Hospitable and comfortable. Friendly staff simply adds to your fine stay. I really like the location; near the city centre. The room is stayed was decent and had a very nice view of the little town Canterbury.

Met with a smile, shown to a lovely room in the converted stables. Finding the hotel has a pleasant little bar was a bonus. Good car parking on site and just a short stroll to most of what Canterbury has to offer. Unusual sunken garden area is very peaceful. Good wifi everywhere - even the car park. Every single member... We booked this place because one of its sister hotels was full and felt as if we might have ended up at the better choice. The Castle House is one of those establishments that is quirky enough to feel more of a mix between a Hotel and a B&B, but is non the worse for it. Booking was made with... More

We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our ground floor room, which we thought would be noisy as it overlooked the car park and was opposite the kitchen. However, this was not the case and we enjoyed a very peaceful stay. The twin room was spacious with very comfortable beds and a large en-suite bathroom. The tea making... More

We were very happy with our two night stay in this charming old hotel a five minute walk from the centre of Canterbury. Our twin room was very clean and the beds made up with crisp white bedding. They were also very comfy. The bathroom was large and included some good quality toiletries. There was a bath and shower. Breakfast... More

We stayed here for four nights and found it very comfortable. We had booked a double room and the room we were given was more spacious than we expected. It was on the top floor of the old coach house and overlooked the castle. The room was clean and comfortable. They have a lot of staff working here, more than... More

My partner and I stayed here in early July 2015. We got off the bus about 10am and wanted to leave our rather cumbersome luggage somewhere while we explored Canterbury. The receptionist was really helpful and rather than just locking away our bags checked with the cleaning crew about the state of our room. After waiting a couple of minutes... More

Booked two family rooms for an annual get together for 6 university mates now in our 40s for a cycling weekend. The location is spot on for accessing the centre of Canterbury, and has a brilliant pub with a huge beer garden only a minutes' walk away. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel kindly allowed me to... More
