The staff are really welcoming and very friendly. Good breakfast and comfortable bed. A bit noisy with the traffic, but didn't stop us sleeping. I appreciated the help with the bags. Best thing - the staff. Thank you. more

Lovely, lovely, lovely. It has the feel of a B&B - nice rooms with great furniture and a homely atmosphere, and a lovely sunny breakfast room - without the feeling that you're being scrutinised by the owner (which is what I usually feel when I'm staying in a B&B). The only sad thing was that the bar (a lovely bar... more

What a lovely little place. If you are looking for modern, state of the art, then perhaps you would prefer somewhere else, but this place was just perfect for me. As a woman travelling alone, I was delighted at the immediate offer to carry my bags up to my room. My room was single, en-suite. There was actually room for... more

We made reservations here months in advance from Canada and when when we arrived we were told 'so sorry, we've overbooked'. I guess handling a dozen or so rooms on a daily basis is a mind-numbing experience. To assist, the staff called another B&B over on London Street to see if they could take us but neglected to say there... more

I booked 5 rooms direct with hotel : No Problem All rooms had recently been refurbished to a very high standard, e.g good quality bed linen, bath towels, decor etc. Well appointed bathrooms. The young staff were very helpful and attentive. They were really learning their trade but worked very hard to please. this is a smal hotel or large... more

We were given an amazingly warm welcome when we arrived at the Castle House Hotel, despite the fact that the staff were very obviously having a tough time coping with ongoing upgrades. However, the staff dealt with everything admirably, and tried their best to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible under the difficult circumstances. Our room (the... more

We arrived (with ease due to the location) at the B & B on Saturday, we checked in successfully with reception, little confusion with the type of room we had booked but it was sorted with no problems. We were able to leave the car in the B&B car park and walk into town within 5/10mins max, ideal location. We... more

My family stayed at Castle House around Christmas and everything about it was lovely. It is a short, easy walk from the train station and once we arrived the staff was very welcoming. The room, which was en suite, was beautiful and more spacious than we had expected. We were able to see both the Castle and Canterbury Cathedral from... more

My family and I (2 adults, daughter 20, son 18) decided to stay at the Castle House Hotel due to its price, and its location close to the heart of Canterbury. We ended up getting the private apartment that is further down the street and is not as quaint as the main hotel because it is more modern, but certainly... more

Everything from the initial welcome to the towels in the room were fantastic! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and they dealt with our lively toddler very well!! The breakfast was definately worth getting out of the comfortable bed for, the rooms are very spacious and finished to a very high standard. The hotel is well situated close to... more
