We were 2 adults and 2 children visiting Canterbury for 1 night. The great thing about Harriet House is that parents and kids can have separate rooms whilst having their own floor and bathroom. The walk into town was 10 mins and if you cut through the nearby Sainsbury car park you can walk along the river into town. The... More

We had one night at HH when visiting Canterbury. We had the two upstairs rooms which were ideal for our family - shared bathroom. The rooms were on the smallish size but had everything that was needed for a night's stay and were well equipped and scrupulously clean. The breakfast ticked all the boxes and we liked the variety offered.... More

A welcoming atmosphere, very clean and comfortable and every little detail thought through to ensure my stay was relaxing and stress free. Also it is very close to the centre, while at the same time having access to a quiet road from its own car park. Breakfast is well presented and cooked with plenty of choice.

We have stayed here before when visiting our daughter who lives nearby. Our stay was every bit as good as previous visits, rooms modern and spotless, owners very welcoming, and now with the addition of the new conservatory ( where we had our breakfast each morning) and landscaped gardens it must be hard to find a nicer guest house in Canterbury.... Recently stayed at Harriet House for three nights and cannot recommend it highly enough. Perfect distance from the centre of Canterbury, which gives you a lovely walk in towards the attractions. Also perfect for walking off a nice meal on the way back! Room was lovely and clean and both Terry and Chris were incredibly hospitable, as well as knowledgeable... More

Stayed for one night with my daughter. Everything was perfect - immaculately clean rooms, very quiet at night, wonderful breakfast, very welcoming and friendly host, very short walk into Canterbury and very close to the University. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Came to Harriet House with my boyfriend for a short break and loved it. Staff were very friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable, and all the facilities were very good. Highlight of Harriet House was the home made pancakes in the mornings! Also perfect location, very quiet and only a short walk from the town centre. Lots of local... More

Great, comfortable stay. Terry was a very welcoming host, the room was clean and tidy, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious - an excellent start to our days. Harriet House was perfect for our weekend getaway to Canterbury. Highly recommended to all. Thanks, Dan & Harriet

I was travelling on my own for work, and couldn't have been made more welcome or felt safer than at Harriet House. Parking on site was a great bonus. Fabulous home made marmalade and strawberry jam - I tried them both!
