Another Travelodge with decent standards. Its location is really convenient: within a couple of minutes from the shopping heart of Canterbury and a five to ten minutes tops to the cathedral! It is similarly close to the saint Augustine college. Even though it may be a bit awkward to find your way to it, it is a big building with... More

Just a few minutes walk from the city centre of Canterbury. Sufficient parking in front of and behind hotel. Room and bathroom very clean and well maintained. A recently refurbished hotel, the mattress was firm and most supportive so we slept well. Sleep was disturbed only by noisy people in the street going home. Staff were most welcoming and helpful.... I want to be kind, so here are the good points: staff friendly and helpful, bed comfortable - of course, being Travelodge, breakfast no worse than expected at this price-point although cold plates only for hot food. But really, this is a miserable place. Building tired, at points crumbling, standing at the end of a long, narrow alleyway, hard to... More

A group of 8 of us had our yearly trip to Canterbury to attend a show at the Marlowe. We have stayed here before but must admit the upgrade is lovely. All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Jamie Austin on reception who even took the time to come and speak to us at breakfast to ask how our... More

The location of this Travelodge is excellent. It is within walking distance of the town with interesting shops and the amazing cathedral and many places to dine. The staff are very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to help.

Booked two nights mid week Feb 18-20 2015 to visit eldest daughter who is at Uni, Stayed with 16 year old daughter in a double room. Room clean and well furnished, BUT the first night was kept awake all night by shouting, laughing and very loud sex in the room above us, it finally went quiet at 4.45am. Complained to... More

We appreciate the time you have taken to review out hotel. It is great to hear you enjoyed the look of our rooms and that your room was clean during your stay. It is however regrettable to hear you were disturbed by other customers; we do ask all of our guests to keep their noise levels to a minimum. Our... More

Jaime on reception was very helpful and welcoming. Not enough towels and no TV remote on arrival, but this was soon rectified. Great location, near to the town and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Travelodge Canterbury Chaucer. Now I stay in Travelodge's all over the country but I must say this was a brilliant stay. Dawn on reception was brilliant, full of life and happy to chat away to me and would go out of her way to make the say as pleasant as possible. Would recommend any day... More

We have stayed here lots of times and are always impressed by the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. All have been helpful but we would single out Jaime Austin as particularly so. The hotel is ideally situated just outside the ring road, a stones throw to shops, restaurants and pubs.

Excellent location, comfortable facilities and good reception team. Brenda and her staff were excellent catering for all my needs. The only criticism of Travelodge is if you can find any room for £29 your are better than I am. Rooms vary in size and price basic but made up for by the great staff.
