Stayed for 3 nights during graduation week. This is the 2nd time at this hotel. excellent value for money. Staff are very welcoming and always pleasant. The family room we were in was spotless, as was the bathroom. Had breakfast on one of the mornings. everything was freshly cooked an tasty. Excellent location for the centre of Canterbury. Only downside... More

Booked a single room for a night as I had to be at the University the following morning. It was an unusually hot and humid night, which can't be helped. However, the window was very small and a tether prevented it from opening more than a crack. There was a fan in the room, but I would have preferred to... More

Well positioned just off the centre of the city. We were greeted by Dawn Mills at Reception who was brilliant. She was charming, very smiley and really helpful. Room was clean and adequate. Poor view however straight onto thick bushes. Wifi is an extra payment which, in the 21st century, is daft. How many cafés, shops, libraries etc, charge for... More

I booked two rooms for a graduation. The disabled one was large and pleasant but could not open window for fresh air on a very hot day. The second room was nearer the first but very dark and dismal with a very creeped bathroom .i thought I had booked a twin room but it turned out to be a double... More

We stayed at this hotel for my Daughters wedding in another hotel in Hotel in Canterbury. We booked in Saturday afternoon and from the start the staff could not do too much for us. We were shown to our room and parking was explained as we were allowed to park in the hotel for 24 hours for £5 which was... More

The hotel is well positioned for a stay in Canterbury. As this was advertised as the "New Look". Unfortunately we felt that's it only really good point. The cost £96 for one night no breakfast is fine but we would expect a good room for that price. The room was very small, I had to sleep on the other side... More

The staff at the Canterbury Chaucer Central hotel were warm, welcoming and cheerful. They were also very helpful. When I am next in Canterbury I will not hesitate to stay at the Chaucer Travelodge again.

Customer service was excellent. Room had everything for overnight stay, I would like more clothes storage if staying longer. Breakfast was fresh, well cooked and a good variety. Travelodge in good location for tourist spots, shopping, restaurants, bus and rail stations.
