Great location, lovely house. Room at first glance looked amazing, nice big bed, lovely furniture & bathroom had the wow factor! Until you look at details :-( as we unpacked we found some clothes left by the previous occupants of the room & when lay on bed there was an unpleasant smell. The bedding whilst looked clean had a musty... More

Stayed one night as a birthday treat. We stayed in the circle room on first floor after having it changed from upper circle room due to previous occupants having a late check out. On arrival keypad entry worked and we were impressed with the whole house. Room was large and bed was huge and very comfy! The bathroom had the... More

We stayed in the Upper Circle room which we loved it hits sumptuous bed and roll top bath. The location is great, really central and parking is no problem. Would stay again and recommend it to friends.

Stayed for one night to enable us to attend a performance at the Marlow Theatre, perfect location able to nip back in the interval! Slight hiccup on arrival as pin pad initially did not work and the ordered parking permit not in room as arranged, fortunately we did take the owners telephone number with us and things were sorted. As... More

Unmanned means the period house is not as welcoming as warm as it could a have been but is good to relax in the whole house if you book 2 rooms. Love the touch of a cream tea left in the fridge and that you can help yourself to tea and coffee in the kitchen. Period house but with modern... More

We stayed one night after a matinee at the Marlowe Theatre. The location is excellent....our room overlooked the theatre, and being central in the city makes shopping and sightseeing easy. The accommodation is sumptuous, enormous bed, decadent bathroom, and lovely decor throughout. Good WiFi, tea and coffee making gear, nice TV all there. A very nice touch was the complimentary... Thanks for the overall positive feedback. I am sorry the breakfast was not completely satisfactory. We have a new staff member who had been given a weeks training and then asked to cook breakfast for myself which she completed to standard. We are giving her more training and then keeping an eye on things. We only use the best local... More

We stayed in the circle room which over looked the theatre, adequate tea and coffee facilities, sumptuous bed and duvet, I loved it, bathroom spacious with lovely slipper bath, unmanned accommodation worked fine with pass codes for entry. Breakfast was different, young marcie requires extra training but over all, quality food. Cream tea scones were lovely but more cream please.... More

Thank you for the lovely review, we really are trying hard and its great to see it pay off! We have checked the internet connection and I have logged on with three different devices so I am at a loss to know why there was a problem. We will keep an eye on it though, thanks again. More

This review does not really take price into account as my wife booked a Saturday night stay as a birthday present for me. Firstly, location is fantastic. Right in the heart of Canterbury opposite the Marlowe theatre and nice strolls to all sights and amenities. The accommodation is just two rooms. We stayed in the lower one. On entering the... More

My delicious girlfriend and I stayed here on a bank holiday weekend as a treat for my 30 birthday, and it was absolutely brilliant! You basically get a huge room within a lovely town house, with several shared areas within the house if that takes your fancy. There was a delicious cream tea waiting for us on arrival, and breakfast... More
