We are a family of five persons who stayed here for two nights. The location is near everything. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was really kind and helpfull. Good breakfast and free Wifi. We would love to come back.

Sorry to write a poor review but an empty restaurant (Dems) on a Thursday lunchtime should have told us to not eat here. From 12:30-2:00 we were the only diners. We ordered Scallops and duck starters, they were ok but the mains coq au vin & fillet steak were just terrible. The steak wasn't cooked as we requested, sautéed potatoes... More

Stayed here for two nights, and was very happy with the stay. It is not the swankiest hotel but it is clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were brilliant, particularly the man on reception, who was particularly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious too. The location was great, just off the Main Street, so... More

A Franco-British family, we stayed in the family room for an overnight stay on a shopping expedition. The room has been successfully separated into two smaller rooms and was ideal for two adults and two teen-agers. Although centrally situated, the hotel is in a quiet area with satisfactory parking arrangements. The breakfast was generous and staff friendly. We will come... More

It's impossible to give the Pilgrim's Hotel a simple score because, like the curate's egg, only parts of it are excellent. To start with the positive, an excellent location in the historic heart of Canterbury, very good breakfasts in a pleasant setting, good service and ample hot water. But on the negative side, the references to tired or dated decor... More

Very well positioned right in the heart of Canterbury and opposite the Marlowe Theatre. Public car parking available closeby. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff. Hotel part upstairs could do with some updating, starting with the very shabby stairs carpet. We stayed in Room 2 which is very compact. No bedside table on one side and no remote control for TV.... Stayed for 2 nights in room 3. A bit cramped with no bedside cabinet on one side of very comfortable bed. So nowhere to put book/cup of tea etc. Bathroom ok. Room was well heated . Decoration was rather outdated and no hair dryer. Internet worked sometimes. Reduced rate car parking tickets. Car park a couple of minutes walk away.... More

Overnight stay at this Hotel. We arrived early evening, the receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming. We were given a map to show where we could park our car, it was a bit on the worrying side when we didn't know the name of the car park. But we found it, and it was only a short walk from the... The staff were excellent, the food was plentiful, especially the full english cooked breakfast, stayed in the MARLOW room large comfortable four poster bed.
