This hotel is in an excellent location, near all the sites, shops and restuarants, but the hotel is now starting to show signs of wear and tear. It also needs a very good clean, not only in rooms, but in public areas as well, and staff should be aware of litter, being left in loos, chairs in lobby and bar... More

3rd stay, I always find the place amazing. Great service, amazing quality with lots of little extras such as the toiletries and mini hamper in the room. Breakfast to die for in the morning and probably one of the most comfortable hotels I ever stay in. Nit great location for drivers but 10 min walk from both Canterbury stations. Loads... More

First time stay in Canterbury and the reason we booked The Abode was its location.Smack bang in the middle of Canterbury. We wanted to park the car and be able to go out and not have to worry about not being able to drink if using the car. On arrival, staff sorted the parking of the car in a locked secure area... More

Classy Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Canterbury, just a short wander to the Cathedral! Beautiful decor, fresh flowers and excellent, friendly and efficient staff. We stopped just one night but wished it could have been more! Rooms are large, beds enormous and comfy, compliments tuck box tasty and a lovely additional touch! All in all a great place to... More

I have stayed in this hotel several times since it was the County Hotel (that name is still shown on the outside of the building). It has been refurbished and the room I stayed in this time was much better appointed than before with much improved bathroom and bedroom. Unfortunately, as I didn't need to eat either lunch or dinner... More

Perfectly decent hotel in a great location in what passes as a boutique style. So far so good , but a hotels' key product is a place to kip......... This you will find hard as the noise comes from every direction. Drunks on the street are not much suppressed by the secondary glazing.Fellow guests share their excitement at being in... More

We booked our wedding here 18 months ago. Adriana has been soo attentive nothing was ever a problem. If we didn't like anything it was changed, we got upgraded courtesy of the hotel to the fabulous suite which was certainly a 'wow' factor. The food was amazing no complaints from anyone only compliments on how fabulous it was! Steve well,... More

I googled hotels in Canterbury and apart from the normal Premier Inn there was this little gem of a hotel right in the heart of the town. It had great reviews and the price was about the same as the Premier so we took a chance. It was lovely, the staff were friendly and the room was good too with... More

Stayed here recently on business. A lovely hotel right in the heart of Canterbury Lovely well appointed rooms. Staff are attentive without being overbearing. Didn't eat in the restaurant but menu looked exciting. Would definitely stay here again when next in the area.
