Chose this hotel for proximity to town centre and it's car parking facilities. Lovey old place with all you would expect with a few uneven floors, corridors and staircases...really makes it an interesting place to stay, read some of the history of the premises it goes back a long way. Room was comfortable but would agree with a previous reviewer... More

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable, and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the cheery lady (Shellie), who goes out of her way to help. Look forward to returning again, hope Shellie will still be there with her smiley face.

A fantastic hotel in middle of Canterbury. We had a very comfortable, clean room and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The staff are very friendly; they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. My mum has booked to go back! Very impressed.

Lovely rambling hotel, bit of a rabbit warren, with loads of stairs and corridors. No lift. Very old But clean and comfortable- the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit in need of updating, and the water pressure is not good for the shower. But it is a lovely place , and we had a lovely hot breakfast... More

The hotel is a wonderful historic building but with that come some problems - showers that dribble rather than actually shower you with water, generally old bathrooms, rooms that are in need of modernisation. The great thing about this hotel is the staff. They could not be more helpful. Breakfast is good too but for the Price I think the... More

I have stayed at the Falstaff on numerous occasions, but alas on the last two, we have had problems with the plumbing, theirs not mine. On the first it was in the middle of summer (the hottest day of the year in 2012) so it didn't matter a great deal that we had a total lack of hot water in... More

This is an old coaching inn making it an interesting piece of architecture and history. The location for the centre of Canterbury, shops and cathedral is excellent. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room we had was not large but perfect for othe purpose, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good, well cooked and plentiful.

Booked this hotel for family visiting us over Xmas. The car park is very handy although don't try to park an estate car in the back parking area as you may have trouble getting out again! The female receptionist was effective but she did not make any effort to communicate with foreigners. My parents' double room was fine, but nothing... More

stayed 3-5 January and had a relaxing time. First room we checked into the toilet didn't work so was transferred to another room which although on the third floor was a lovely big room. We would like to say a big thank you to Kian who sorted out the transfer and was a very hard worker; the owners should be... More
