I stayed in room 26 and on entering the room, didn't see the steps and hurt my ankle. I already have mobility problems and arthritis in my ankle. I very nearly went over and could have really injured myself falling into the room. I know they have a 'mind the step' sign but it is not in the line of... More

Stayed for two nights in the annex building. We were given a family room (room 48) due to the hotel being fairly full with guests attending a wedding. The room was spacious, large comfortable bed and dual aspect (one window looked onto a brick wall however and the other was just above the smoking area which was noisy. The bathroom... More

We stayed for just one night at the Falstaff this April and were very pleased with the value for money and the room. We had a room away from the main building - which was a slight disappointment, but there was a lot of renovation work going on - in, I think, the old mill annexe. The room was spacious... More

Booked a night's stay and was pleasantly surprised. The building is obviously old and looks a bit sorry from the front. I will admit was a bit worried about what might be inside. However, there has obviously been some money spent on the hotel. Our room was lovely. Free wifi which is always a bonus. My luggage was carried to... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is in an excellent location 5 minutes walk into shops and to cathedral. Free parking. All staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with loads of choice. Our room was clean comfortable and cosy. The restaurant was being refurbished while we were there but there are plenty of places to eat nearby... More

We stayed here as a group....4 couples to be exact. Whilst not cheap , two of the rooms were very nice and represented fair value. These were both family rooms, were clean & tidy and had plenty of space to move about. The four poster room was more expensive and the couple there had a minor cause to complain. However... More

Lovely period historic hotel is ideally placed to visit Canterbury near the west gate with only a short walk in to shops, bars and restaurants. Great secure parking facilities although we observed exiting the rear car park near the annex was extremely tight for many of the larger vehicles. The reception staff were pleasant and welcoming, although they did not... More

I stayed here a while back while organising a stag party in Canterbury. I was only here for one night but my stay was very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was in a rear annex but well fitted, stylish, comfortable and I spent the night well in there. My breakfast was included, and it was a very tasty hot buffet.... More

We stayed at the Falstaff whilst attending my daughter's graduation. This hotel is ideally placed to visit Canterbury, with excellent, secure parking facilities. It is close to the Westgate, a couple of minutes walk to the shops and the many Bars and restaurants. The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming and we were soon in our room even though... 5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2015

My girlfriend and I (26 and 30) stayed at the Falstaff Hotel from Fri 6th - Sun 8th March 2015. We chose the hotel due to the very reasonable price, the location and the good reviews on here. I'm pleased to say we weren't disappointed one bit. I had emailed the hotel beforehand asking for a room overlooking the beautiful... More
