Loads of history in this hotel, lovely little courtyard outside by the bar. The room was spacious and had everything you could want, and easy parking on site. Very good service as well, everyone was very friendly. A great little find, a reasonable priced historic hotel in the centre of a historic city. And a very good breakfast to boot.... More

The location was perfect for walking around Canterbury. We walked there from the train station as well -- so convenient. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants, finding bandaids, whatever we needed. The breakfast buffet was very good. We liked the little gardens. The room was large with a large comfy bed and a large clean bathroom --... More

The Falstaff rates as a good 3* Hotel and, although it has faults, it is reasonably priced and is good for what it is. It's a quaint old building, which makes it at once interesting but a bit of a challenge if you have problems with access. It works well as a base to explore Canterbury and the surrounds. The... More

I would recommend this historical hotel as a great place to stay in Canterbury as it is clean, comfortable and well located. It is an easy & flat walk to the main pedestrian street & cathedral & lots of cafes. Our room was on the first floor in the older main part of the hotel. As there is no lift... More

Another charming old English Inn. Very close to train station(5 minute walk) and the gate to the city. Good breakfast both hot and cold. Clean spacious rooms. Nice front desk people. Nice bar and outside seating area for a pint. Nice spot to stay to see Canterbury.

We booked one of the four poster bed rooms - the room was delightful. The restaurant was no longer functioning. The breakfast was a very disappointing buffet where you could help yourself to the cooked breakfast - goodness knows how long it had all been sat there. Even the toast had to be made by the hotel guests from sliced... More

We chanced upon this place online and booked it without even visiting. Lucky we did, it was a pretty busy weekend and a lot of the rooms were booked when we arrived. It's easy to see why; this really is as quaint a little (large) English Inn as could be asked for. The room we had (number 27-highly recommended for... More

Stayed for 1 night in single room. Room adequate but noticed a lot of dust on light fittings, radiators. Room was quite small with tea making facilities. Floor boards very squeaky also could her TV and people speaking from their rooms. Music is played in breakfast room though not load it can be heard as my room was floor above... More

Recently stayed at the Falstaff Hotel, Anna on reception was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and did everything she could to find us a room after Trivago had totally messed up our booking by taking our money but then not advising the hotel of our booking. We stayed in the Sir John Falstaff suite which was a lovely room... More

Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Location was fantastic to walk into town and very easy to get to. Would recommend to others if you want easy access to all the sites with parking included for free. Breakfast was of reasonable standard (though the scrambled eggs were a little flavourless).
