This was my second stay and it was just as good as the first one last year. David and Sandra are wonderful hosts, the rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was as delicious as last year. There is a lot parking space, a nice pub is close-by and it's just a short walk to... More

I'm doing this retrospectively as other experiences have shown me 1) what a wide range of reasonably priced, central, and historically interesting accommodation there is in Canterbury - something similar cities could learn from; and 2) the quality and service were excellent for that price. Some have tried to argue that cheaper hotels mean scuzzy is acceptable. This one was... More

Stayed in this comfortable family-run B&B as we were in the area for a wedding. David and Sandra were very welcoming and flexible, which was much appreciated. The room (including bathroom!) was very clean and comfortable. The full english breakfast was spot-on. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a pleasant stay in Canterbury, a short 10 min walk in to town. The room was basic but clean and had all the essentials. The breakfast was nice and plenty there - the cooked breaky kept us going most of the day! There is s lovely Indian only 5 mins walk away called the Ancient Raj and we... More

We spent three nights here - the guest house is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Canterbury along the river so very convenient. The room was comfortable and the hosts welcoming. Two reasons whyi I've not given a five star rating- our room was at the front of the house, and the road outside was incredibly busy -... More

Lovely B&B. Very welcoming and friendly owners. We stayed for one night as a weekend get away. Breakfast and room (stayed in room 3) were lovely. Beautiful 10 minute walk along the river to get to town. Parking was on the small/tight side but was luckily not many cars there upon arrival (reversed in to which made getting out a... More

We were lucky to get accommodation for our stay over but we're surprised at the quality and price. Sandra and Dave the hosts were excellent and the breakfast was cooked to perfection by Sandra with Dave doing a great job taking and delivering orders. Although I and my wife have problems walking we found the location was very accessible to... More

St Stephens is a lovely guest house with very friendly hosts, David and Sandra, who will advise you on where to go and what to see during your stay. After reading some of the reviews we asked for a room at the back or side of the house as it is situated on a roundabout and therefore has some traffic... More

Had two rooms - one double, one twin. Great location (10min walk to the city centre along a riverside walk). Delicious cooked breakfasts and continental had good choice. Very lovely owners. Private parking was a huge bonus. Pretty bedrooms and slept like babies.

rooms were nice and clean and bathroom too. It was all clean. The breakfast was really small and we couldnt order anymore. At 9 we arrived and at 9.20 we couldnt order anything anymore because we just had a small egg and a soms toast. Further then that the room was fine

Thank you for your feedback. It’s very nice to see that you liked the rooms you stayed in and found them clean. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with breakfast. Our breakfast consists of more than just eggs and toast. There is a buffet including a selection of cereals, juices, yogurts and fruit. Tea/coffee and toast are served... More
