Expect a warm welcome from David and Sandra, close attention to your likes and dislikes at breakfast, and any help they can offer. Their delightful approach encourages a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the dining room. Whilst not luxurious (this is reflected in the cost), the room was very clean, very comfortable, and incredibly quiet considering the guest house is... More

I stayed in a single room at the back of the house. The room was well-decorated and clean. Though the guest house is located on a busy roundabout I didn't hear any noise from the street and had a very pleasant night's sleep. Sandra was very helpful and provided me with a map and directions to a local restaurant. Breakfast... More

I stayed in this guest house for Holy week and Easter after a stay in the same house several years ago. Despite a change of ownership it was as good as I remember if not actually even better. The room was comfortable and clean and serviced well each day with a change of linen midweek. Breakfast was outstanding with a... More

This is the best B&B I have stayed in. Our room was beautiful, large, well appointed and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Sandra and David, our lovely friendly hosts. My daughter and I were sorry to come home and will definitely stay here again if/when we return to Canterbury!

One of the best B & B’s in which my girlfriend and I have stayed. Hosts welcoming and friendly but not overbearing. Room to a very high standard and quite, breakfast (full English) cooked impeccably and plenty of parking. Location is perfect. Driving; quick to get out of Canterbury, which can get grid locked. Walking; 15 minutes into the centre... More

I spent there just one night, but I really appreciated the nice traditional building, the clean room, the quiet atmoshpere and the wonderful breakfast. The owners are very kind, smiling and helpful. The city center is a ten minutes walking. Definitely a really good experience.

We spent two nights there. Bathroom opens from the bedroom, clean and tidy. It was already colder outside but thanks to the heating it was great inside the house. The room was really nice, breakfast too, and our hosts absolutely amazing people!

St. Stephen's Guest House is about 15 minute walk from the city centre and about the same from the Canterbury West railway station. It's a lovely walk along the river to the centre. There's a nice pub maybe a 5 minute walk away and a newsagent's on the opposite corner. The location at the roundabout it not best possible. For... More
