Not the best B and B in Canterbury!!!. Probably the best in Kent!!! Such wonderful staff and the breakfast would compare with any 5star in London. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Canterbury.

Everything about the House of Agnes when we stayed recently. The location is absolutely perfect. They have plenty of parking. A total bonus in the city-centre. Just one thing, please do be aware that the entrance to the car park is only 2mtr wide - take a small car and then you will have to put your wing mirrors in!... More

We spent just a night in House of Agnes however we had a great experience. First of all the house is located in a fantastic place, 5 min walk from the city centre and with parking which is very convenient if you are going by car like us because during the week (and Saturdays in most places) you can't park... We stayed here for one night in one of the newer stable rooms. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was charming and very clean. The bed was so comfortable, slept really well! The House of Agnes website is very informative when choosing a room. Location is perfect, close to everything. Breakfast was also good and we... More

This was our second stay at House of Agnes and we are looking forward to the third. It is such a friendly place, everything we need, and it is beginning to feel like home from home. The rooms are well equipped, we appreciated the honesty bar and the use of the very pleasant public lounges. The hotel website is extremely... More

This is the type of hotels we like: well located, a lot of charm and atmosphere, small but clean bathroom with good shower, quite a big room (in the main building) with antique furniture but with modern things like WIFI, guarded car parking, very friendly staff, not the biggest but correct breakfast and all this for a decent price in... I've stayed at the House of Agnes on four different occasions, twice with my husband and twice with my husband and a group of friends. We always stay in the stable rooms. I've read quite a lot of comments from other quests stating that there was too much noise coming from the trains that pass by when they stayed there,... More

Very nice house, full of character. Would have maybe preferred one of the rooms with a bath as the shower room in the Canterbury room was quite small and disappointing compared to everything else. The staff were lovely though and the other facilities in the hotel great. Breakfast was lovely. I did request a quiet room but was put at... More

Thank you for your kind review and for your feedback on our lovely Canterbury room which is one of our most popular rooms. The house is 600 years old and was constructed way before bathrooms were incorporated in houses. We have however provided lovely clean, fresh bathrooms with modern showers, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Sadly, the... More

Thank you Emma, for taking the time to write a review on your stay with us! The Venice room is a very romantic room and is great for special occasions and I'm glad you got to experience the lovely spa bath too :-) I have noted the problem with a noisy water pump and it has now been rectified. Sadly... More

Visited house of Agnes only a hundred metres from old Canterbury castle West Gate which had great historical importance. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing friendliness of one of the staff called Wallace who had the patience of showing us around and the general happiness of their guests also helped the pleasantness of our short stay there. The hotel... More

Thank you for your very comprehensive review and your kind comments. I will definitely write a sign next to the picture of the Astrolabe as it certainly is of great historical significance. Thank you for reminding me (in fact I seem to remember this conversation with you! Although we don't have a member of staff called Wallace I am delighted... More
