Beautifull old house, very well kept, modern bathroom facilities, excellent location. The breakfast was not very abundant and I do not usually eat a lot in the morning. But all in all we had a great time and would defenetly go there again.

We stayed in the Shanghai room for two nights with some friends (who stayed in the stable rooms) in April 2012. We had a wonderful time and have booked to go back again in December! The Shanghai room was beautifully decorated and perfectly matched its namesake! The room was incredibly well stocked with everything you could think of - from... More

We stayed just one night in the Venice room but as soon as we arrived we so regretted not booking a longer stay here! A beautiful, quiet and opulent room with a lovely spa bath and french doors to the garden. We loved the honesty bar and it was a real treat to pop down the the bar and have... More

Having left booking somewhere for a rare weekend away a little late, we struggled to find somewhere that was near the centre of Canterbury and not too chintzy! Then we came across House of Agnes. Perfectly located, 5 minutes walk from the centre, but a little haven of tranquility. We stayed in one of the Stable rooms, just the job,... More

We stayed at the House of Agnes for 3 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Canterbury room which was lovely and very comfortable. The b&b is situated on a busy road and because of the level crossing close by, traffic tends to build up and if there happens to be a bus or truck outside... More

We returned to this B&B this bank holiday weekend for 2 nights (having stayed there a year ago when my fiancée proposed to me in the gardens of the B&B). We stayed in one of the Stable Rooms again which are lovely along with 2 other couples who were in the stable rooms and in the Shanghai room. Our Stable... More

I am delighted when groups of friends choose to stay with us as it creates a happy buzz. On this occasion we had three groups of friends at the same time so I remember this occasion very well. We had a new chef (nb.who is now completely up to speed) AND everyone seemed to arrive for breakfast together! Our 600... More

Excellent B&B and a wonderful team running it. The house is in an ideal spot of Canterbury. I stayed with a friend for two nights in one of the stable rooms which was very comfortable -especially the beds- and tastefully furnished. Breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful. Thank you very much "House of Agnes". Will definately repeat a visit. Inge from... More

To be short : Excellent venue, enormously friendly staff, loads of atmosphere in the main house. As others have mentioned : good breakfast, honesty bar and excellent garden to sit in (unfortunately the weather prevented us from using it) On the nitpicking side: the street-facing rooms are a bit noisy in the morning and our bathroom (Mumbai room) was a... I am pleased this reviewer was overall happy with his stay at the House of Agnes and it really is a shame he didn't get to enjoy our wonderful garden (hate to rub it in but its certainly being utilised now the weather is so glorious!). The Mumbai room is one of our two smallest rooms and I do explain... More
