We stayed for two days which really was not long enough, Every thing was first class, the staff were lovely, the rooms were excellent, we felt like we were visiting old family friends. We would recommend this hotel to any one, and would like to congratulate the staff, they were first class. George B

Quirky fun hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Conveniently located near station. Delicious home cooked breakfast. Only downside if you choose Tokyo room it is on road side and you can't open windows but it does have air con. Overall good choice

I strongly recommend staying here if your in the area. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very well prepared. They have a gate that locks in their property so safety and seclusion are key features of this establishment. The owners were very friendly, and helpful in guiding us around town. The wait staff was very pleasant, and professional. The rooms were beautifully decorated,... More

We managed to get a last minute cancellation to stay 1 night last Friday. I am so glad we chose this lovely hotel! We stayed in the Tokyo room which was perfect. I was a little concerned about it being on the road in a busy student town on a Friday night, but everything was fine and we didn't hear... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay here. The House of Agnes is a distinguished building with its own history which makes it a special place to stay. The building incorporates contemporary amenities - with a real sense of detail for all necessities and luxuries whilst staying away from home. Parking facilities are very good - a secure private car park is... More

A beautiful hotel with lots of extras. Lovely bed linen, pillows and fluffy towels. Welcoming staff and so friendly, felt immediately at home. Location perfect for city centre an easy walk. Weather was not kind to us, but we were still able to sit in garden in gazebo with a glass of wine and feel miles away from the bustle... More

We enjoyed our stay here very much, the staff was superb, the lodging was lovely in the annex buildings in the garden, everything very well equipped, really lovely room, great bathroom and walk-in-shower. The breakfast was yummy and I think this Bed and Breakfast is situated so well, just a few minutes walk and you are in the middle of... More

This is no doubt one of the best one night stays I have had in UK. Excellent oldy worldy house with super rooms and facilities and a very good English breakfast. Stayed in Paris room with large bathroom which was very nice.

We arrived late. Well past normal check-in in time but someone stayed back to let us in and make us welcome with a friendly greeting. We stayed in stable room 8 which was excellent accommodation. The picturesque garden became clearly visible next morning. The owner Sandy and staff were very caring and helpful, Breakfast was a treat, The historic walls... More

This is a must for fans of both English Literature and English history. Very old building has a new useful life on an interesting street in Canterbury, England. I stayed in the Tokyo Room, second floor in front, and it was wonderful. Extremely quiet considering the busy street out front, big bed, AC, all the modern conveniences, nice bathroom and... More
