I've stayed around, so to speak, and nothing has come close to this place. They got it all correct--comfort, coziness, history, food, quiet and peace, garden, beauty, amenities, and more. I was greeted at this historical place by the receptionist who carried my bag up the steep Elizabethan staircase to my room, providing a quick tour of the place. The... More

Another wonderful stay at this gorgeous place, we stayed here on the 2nd of August and it is now our third stay here. Our room was one of the stable rooms, which is modern light and airy, it is a little away from the main building but it is just lovely. A nice size room with tea coffee biscuits even... More

This was a Great Place to stay. Everything was perfect. We stayed in the Paris room with its excellent bathroom being a staring point. The hosts were perfect with the introduction and just the right amount of making sure everything was okay, The Honesty bar is a great idea. Parking is great in a town where there is little but... Just got back from a lovely weekend in Canterbury with friends, staying at The house of Agnes. Received a very warm welcome from the owner who showed us round the lovely hotel then to our room which was a converted stable room separate from the main house. The room was very nice with everything we needed, nice comfy bed and... More

This very old building has been magnificently restored still boasting the largest walled garden in the City of Canterbury. Nothing was to much trouble for the numerous staff. Everyone was the personification of what one would wish from a friendly team. Breakfasts were hearty with a wide variety of choice. We had the joy of staying in the Canterbury room... More

We stayed at H of A for 3 nights at the end of a 3 week road trip and found this was just what we needed. Everything at our fingertips...did not need the car for anything. At the end of High St that offers everthing in the way of good shopping and plenty of variety in eating options. We had... More

My wife and i stayed here a week ago, for her 40th. Lovely couple of nights, fantastic location. We stayed in the paris room, which had a large separate bathroom with a great huge rolled bath, & separate shower, air con in the main room. Right in the town, but not noisy at all. Breakfasts were first class, all cooked... More

Just spent 4 nights here and highly recommend it. We stayed in one of the converted stable rooms. It was nicely decorated, the bed comfortable with good quality linens, large fluffy towels, nice toiletries, a dvd and plenty of storage. The railway lines runs right behind the stable block. The trains pass very frequently during the day and contrary to... More

I had arranged the stay for as a get away for my partner and I and it was perfect. Excellent location to town with lots of suggestions of things... More
