Fabulous experience. It was 'knock your socks of friendliness'. Our lovely room was in the stable block and it was modern and plush. Superb range of food at breakfast. Great to have parking so close to centre. A must in Canterbury, which is a nightmare when trying to find somewhere to park as a visitor. It was good to be... More

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Canterbury. The Hotel is located very close to the centre of Canterbury and all attractions are within walking distance. We stayed in one of the new blocks at the rear of the hotel next to the car park, the room was comfortable and adequate for our stay, the rooms in the hotel appear to... More

Location excellent being a minutes walk from main street in city centre. Clean well kept rooms and public areas and very interested and helpful owner manager and staff . Rooms comfortable and bar and lounge facilities were all available if wanted . Very busy trip so would certainly revisit and make more use of the location and the excellent breakfast... More

Fabulous room. Simple, classy and clean. Gorgeous decor. Staff are wonderful. Location ideal. Parking is limited but available. Would recommend to all friends and family. I hope to stay here again in the future as it has turned a work visit into a real treat.

Booking last minute we got the last room in the hotel which was Shanghai on the top floor. Although small it had everything needed to make the stay very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and knowledgable, particularly with their recommendation of the Farmers Market restaurant for dinner which was top notch. The hotel is very old and atmospheric with... We loved the House of Agnes. It is close to the centre of Canterbury with car parking, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are helpful and the breakfast delicious. It tastes as if someone has taken trouble with it and there are daily specials. The building also appealed to us, it is old and looks rather eccentric but... More

My first reaction upon arriving at the House of Agnes was that it was overrated, but I was so wrong. The Inn is old but comfortably furnished with modern amenities in each room. However, the highlight of the inn has got to be Sandie, the owner, who is always around to offer a smile and brilliant suggestions for your visit.... More

It's hard to believe that a hotel so historic could be so comfortable and welcoming. We stayed for four nights and toured Canterbury and National Trust properties in easy driving distance. The location is perfect, and the staff is warm and knowledgeable. Breakfast is delicious, with daily special treats.

We had an overnight stay in this little Gem of an hotel whilst visiting Canterbury, it is excellently placed for Canterbury being only a two minute walk to the town center, we found the staff to be most friendly and helpful, we stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis and the breakfast was plentiful and of a high quality, we...
