found a lovely little guesthouse just outside city centre. comfortable bed, nice decor and a very filling breakfast. friendly owners very chatty and helpful. couple of nice restaurants and pubs nearby.had a good weekend overall. more
we have stayed here before and there were no problems but this time it was a little disappointing. the hosts were still friendly and the breakfast was good but there was hairs on the pillows and in the bathroom the cutlery and glasses on the table were not clean. Since October 1st 2009 the guesthouse is under new ownership and the standards have improved in cleanliness. No complaints from any guests and two couples have returned for another stay since the above date.
Stayed for 2 nights in our own four poster bed, loved making tea overlooking the garden. we missed breakfast as we wanted a long lie in....was well worth it.... and one of the cheapest 4 star b&b in canterbury.. didnt see it on trip advisor and thought id give it a mention. thanks.. jenny.x more
