We are a large family (4 children) and were in Canterbury for a weekend. Clare offered us two rooms with an extra bed and made us feel at home. The rooms were well decorated and spacious, the bathrooms spotlessly clean. We all enjoyed the cooked breakfast and the Coach house's central position. The children are already looking forward to coming... More

My husband and stayed a few nights ago, I used to live in Canterbury and was really looking forward to returning for a short break. I'm glad we chose The Coach House as it is perfectly situated. It's a short walk from Canterbury East station, and also extremely close to the town centre. We came by train, but there is... More

We stayed in room 1, the room was not how we expected as the shower was open in the bedroom and although we had a private toilet it was not ensuite. The room was big, clean and well presented but a little less modern than the pictures on the website portray. Staff were friendly and very helpful, free parking onsite... More

After booking this b&b I looked at the reviews & was a little worried about a few things. I needn't have been. The b&b was right next to the town, yes there's noise outside, but what do you expect if you book a room in the town, if you want peace & quiet book outside of the town. We were... More

Location is fantastic. I was a little shocked with how different the place is compared to their web site-this is very misleading indeed and unfair on the customers. The photos on the website do not show how untidy the dining area and hall is. Not very enticing for customers. Bags, shoes, clothes, toys dumped everywhere. How is this a 4... More

Arriving at the coach house you are greeted by numerous pairs of shoes and boots littered about the hallway, it gets worse when you check in and the piles of shoes and children's toys old bits of wood and half painted walls in the dinning room. The most disappointing issue was NO HOT WATER for a shower in the morning,... More

The location was perfect for a night on the tiles as everywhere we went was in walking distance. The decor itself was a bit fuddy-duddy, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic room rate, though.

The Coach House is in a great location, just a short 10 minute walk from the rail station and only a 2-5 minutes walk to shops/restaurants and the Cathedral. Whilst the B&B is clean and tidy, the service was not great: no towels, internet was not working and only half of the TV stations were working. Breakfast finishes at 9.30am... More

Last weekend, three of us visited Canterbury , two to go cycling and one to explore the town. We arrived late afternoon and had the parking and catering arrangements clearly explained. The room - for three of us - gave us plenty of room and it was good to have a section of the house to ourselves. Tea and coffee... More
