After a last minute booking, and late night arrival; i was welcomed by Nick and showed to my beautiful room. Although certainly dated, it was spotless and the bed was more than comfortable. The Location was far away enough from the centre to enjoy quiet mornings, but still within walking distance of the centre. Sadly, due to the late nights,... More

This charming B&B is very convenient for the university (I stay often in term time) and only a short walk from the town centre. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection is very good - Tony gets the bacon just right - and often complemented by home-made treats. Pauline's banana bread is delicious. They don't serve meals other... More

I've now stayed at City of Canterbury B & B on 7 occasions over the last four months as I'm on a course at Christchurch University. The B & B is only 10 minutes drive from the North Holmes Campus so it's quick and easy to get to. On a Sunday morning it's even quicker and I can get to... More

I wanted to support an indendent business rather than a big chain and took my chance on this place. It's handy for the University and comfortable enough but the decor is rather dated. It is clean though but the breakfast was disappointing. Wouldn't stay there again, I'm afraid.

We stayed here while moving my son into the University of Kent - the main entrance is right across the street! While the owners were on vacation, Julie and her son Hamish ran the place as if it were their own! Wonderful breakfast, great conversation and advice about the area - couldn't have asked for more. Very clean, quiet rooms,... More

We stayed here when visiting my daughter (Kent student) Perfect location for the university. Only a short 15 minute walk to town. It was spotless, peaceful and very comfy. It was great to have coffee making facilities. Breakfast was first class, perfectly cooked. It had more of a hotel feel than a guest house but still had a personal touch.... More

Stayed for three days on business at The University of Kent. It is located pretty much opposite to the main entrance gate to the University. The proprietors were welcoming, the rooms spotless and noise-free, the breakfast next morning superb. All-in-all, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

The City Of Canterbury Bed And Breakfast is a charming spot ideally placed for Canterbury city Centre with a view thru the trees of the famous cathedral from the lounge. The hosts are warm and welcoming and provide an excellent breakfast. The lounge itself is large and spacious but tastefully and comfortably furnished with access to a widescreen TV. Our... More

Very nice B&B for visiting the University by prospective students and parents. Close to train station and right across the street from the Univ of Kent - Canterbury campus. My daughter stayed there during her visit to the University when considering her grad school options. She thought it was reasonably priced and well maintained. She would recommend it to others.
