Have stayed at this hostel on numerous occasions, not only out of continence but also in the summer period where I was first really exploring Canterbury. The staff there are always helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure you're helped with anything. The entire place has a nice feel of home comfort about it and it's got... More

A very welcoming stop over for a weekend and well located only 10 minutes walk from town. Thanks for all your help booking us a table in the oldest pub in Canterbury - it was a great recommendation and we had a lovely evening. It's so nice to have a gluten free toast at breakfast too, rather than bringing our... More

Great entrance n staircase. Superb accommodation 😴 Very clean & tidy with modern facilities mixed with the traditional architecture. Homey & comfortable lounge room. Fantastic kitchen, ablutions etc. Everything in fact was great. An example of what other YHA buildings can be modernised too 👍 Martin, superbly helpful receptionist, chef, tour guide etc. Cheers 🍻 oh yes, great location for... More

The time I stayed at the YHA Hostel, I found the staff to be very nice, pleasant and always to be helpful with anything. The hostel is based in a quiet area of Canterbury and easy to relax. They have a garden at the back and it is big and spacious. Kitchen and lounge accessible 24 hours and 7 days... More

Had a lovely stay here in a Tolkien themed lodge called Orlando. Brilliant accommodation all to ourselves. Very cosy, en suite and truly different from anything I've stayed in before. Lovely friendly staff and good hostel facilities. Fine comfy lounge and close to city (15 mins walk for us). Loved it here. Thank you!

We stayed in the cabins really lovely, clean quiet and charming. Warm enough at the end of October. Breakfast on first day cold and disappointing but good today. Would definitely recommend. I Would love the yha to get more cabins in more places we Had a great time.

I love this hostel and the staff within it. They go above and beyond and are always pleased to see you. Some of the staff have worked there for over a decade and they are still as fresh as the day they started. I came there to clear my head and that's exactly what my experience there has done. I... We stayed in a wooden cabin, which was great fun. I would recommend it to anyone, particularly those with young children. Canterbury is not far from the seaside. We enjoyed Herne Bay and walking around the city walls.

I stayed two nights with a walking group of ten. Over the years we’ve visited a great many hostels and this was easily the most comfortable one we’ve stayed in, having been recently refurbished. I slept in the St Augustine 6-bed room on the first floor and although it was above the communal kitchen and dining room, experienced no disturbance... More

My friends and i stayed in the wooden cabins at the hostel, they were lovely. The room, the bedding and the ensuite were extremly clean and the rooms were very warm with plenty of hot water. The hostel is located a short five minute walk from the Cathedral and the city centre. The only downside were the staff, i spoke... More
