We spent a great night here on our way to Dover and France. The rooms are very small but contain everything that you need i.e., ensuite tiny shower room, hair dryer, mirrors, lovely towels, good strong shower, tea and coffee. Very helpful landlord. We also ate in the pub and met the local women's 'Trap and Bat' team. The food... More

On a business trip to Kent so just needed a clean and comfortable room for the night close to the centre of Canterbury so I could stretch my legs a bit after work. Clean twin bedded room (number 3) overlooking the main road, so if you are a light sleeper this may not work for you. The room could be... More

Stayed here for one night in room 2. We were offered earplugs as the room faced the road, but we didn't need them. The room was very small with a tiny bathroom, but this all added to the character of the 15th century inn. Staff very very good. We were greeted by Anna, who was excellent, showing us our room... We stayed here to break our journey across to France. This is a proper community pub, with a good atmosphere, pleasant staff, great food (we were there on a Thursday which is curry night - £7.99 for a really good curry and a free drink) and excellent real ale. The accommodation is small but spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable with... More

After a full day of exercise I arrived late afternoon, hungry and in need of a hot shower. The room was immaculately clean and comfortably appointed. Road noise, mentioned in other reviews and to which I am not used, was not a problem as traffic was much reduced in the evening and overnight, and I found the double glazing effective.... More

Just back from a 2 night weekend stay and must say it was a very good experience. Checked in by a friendly lady and shown up to our room, which was on the front of the hotel. Although it overlooked the busy A28 we were never bothered by any noise and slept very well. For those light sleepers, ear plugs... More

My partner and I were attending a music festival for bank holiday. I booked this hotel as it looked quaint, within walking distance to the City and served real ale.. What a little gem!!! The room was quaint, with beamed ceilings, nicely decorated and very clean. It had character to say the least. There is only 3 rooms so it... More

Comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff. The pub is about a ten-fifteen minute walk into the centre, perfectly placed for sightseeing. The building has plenty of character and is surrounded by some decent little restaurants - a nice Indian, a good chippy - although the pub's own food is great too. I had very little to complain about, except perhaps... More

I am recently back form Canterbury where I stayed at The Kings Head for 3 nights B&B. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the city centre. The staff and locals are friendly and helpful and my bedroom was cosy and comfortable. Although I was travelling alone, I felt very comfortable at all times - even sitting in the... More

My brother and I were visiting Shepherd Neame Brewery in nearby Faversham and we picked the King's Head as it is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, 2013. Lovely place to stay excellent food and great cask beer. The curry night on Thursday is a definite recommend as the chef was good enough to make our meal to our... More
