Comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff. The pub is about a ten-fifteen minute walk into the centre, perfectly placed for sightseeing. The building has plenty of character and is surrounded by some decent little restaurants - a nice Indian, a good chippy - although the pub's own food is great too. I had very little to complain about, except perhaps... More

I am recently back form Canterbury where I stayed at The Kings Head for 3 nights B&B. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from the city centre. The staff and locals are friendly and helpful and my bedroom was cosy and comfortable. Although I was travelling alone, I felt very comfortable at all times - even sitting in the... More

My brother and I were visiting Shepherd Neame Brewery in nearby Faversham and we picked the King's Head as it is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, 2013. Lovely place to stay excellent food and great cask beer. The curry night on Thursday is a definite recommend as the chef was good enough to make our meal to our... More

The Kings Head Inn was a lovely place to stay. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was clean and perfect size for an over night stay. There was a lot of thought put into each room with specific instructions on each TV and other information about the hotel. After a long day walking around it was nice... More

A good, clean, friendly place to stay with a comfy bed and a great freshly cooked full English breakfast. I am short at just under 5ft so I didn't have any issues but my Husband who is less vertically challenged found using the hobbit sized bathroom & shower a bit of a squeeze! Did the job nicely though thank you!

i have traveled the world for 40 years. This is the best experience I have ever had. The food is the best in the world built in 1410, it is full of character.Bat and trap played in lovely garden in summer evenings. Every where clean. Owners very helpful without being pushy. Access by car best in very nearby public carpark

Catching an early ferry from Dover is never a pleasant experience unless you live in Dover. Rather than get up at 3am, drive for hours and then, as dawn breaks, wait on a soulless harbour to board your boat, why not travel down to Canterbury the day before and stay at the the Kings Head Inn. A quaint but very... More

We just returned from an over night stay. The room was very small, but extremely clean, lovely fresh sheets and a really comfy bed. It is a 10 minute walk in to town, lucky the weather was good. The downside was the noise of traffic, unfortunately we were sleeping at the front of the B&B and it was pretty noisey... More

Arrived at the Kings Head on 8th May 2013 for an overnight stay in Canterbury. Staff: From the minute we arrived the staff were friendly and very helpful. Room: One of the smallest we have stayed in, but the quaintest, which was lovely as it was something different. Comfortable and clean. Pub & food: Nice and friendly. Good choice reasonably... More

The pub itself was very good with 4 real ales on although only 1 really took my fancy. There was a duo playing live music but unless I had seen the posters I could have sworn it was karaoke, they were truly awful! Couldn't sing, couldn't play but the locals seemed to enjoy them, maybe I've been spoilt with decent... More
