When work told me they had booked me into the “Inn on the Lake” I thought, wow sounds great, how wrong I was. A more accurate description would have been the Inn on the A2!!! This is because the very busy A2 is as close to the hotel as the slurry pit that passes for a lake! I have reviewed... more

Work booked me into this place for a week of accomodation. I lasted two horrendous nights. Booked into room 36, which has at least has a nice, new patio door looking out over the lake. however, you cant lock the door in an open position, so you cant keep the window open. check in was ok, with a quite receptionist,... more

I booked a double room with lakeside view for one night. Thankfully one night was enough ! Walking into the reception the decor is really retro style and reminds you of the 60's/70's era of decoration. Lots of brown/purple/yellow coloured walls and carpets. The hallway was gloomy and musty from the age of the carpets. There were brass ornaments that... more

Have just spent an overnight in this hotel. The location is convenient being situated just off the A2 and the situation beside a delightful lake is great, but my advice would be to give this one a miss. The hotel needs updating and refurbishing. Our room - although overlooking the lake, had a very badly stained carpet which looked as... more

After reading a few reviews on this site I was a little apprehensive about staying at this Hotel. How wrong I was. My wife and I booked a Lakeside Room on the Hotels website, for a shopping trip to Bluewater. From start to finish everything was geared to making our stay a pleasant one. Food was great, entertainment better than... more

We have just returned home after a fantastic 2night stay at The Inn on the Lake Hotel. The hotel is superb and the staff are extremely friendly. Check in was a breeze, as soon as we walked up to reception Iwe were served immediately. We were given my room cards and promtly went to our room. What a suprise it... more

I stayed here for one night with two colleagues, who had spent the previous two nights nights here. My room was on the lake side of the hotel and appeared to have been refurbished. The room was reasonably spacious, although the window was a patio door, which, of course, could not be left open at night so the room became... more

Faulty Towers comes to mind. This place could easily be named the Grim Lake. At first it seems quite a pleasant lake, but halfway around it, I found dead fish floating, creating the most disgusting stench! ROOMS: Grotty. A motel type place which was probably once quite decent, but not now. The gloomy corridors lead to a smell of stale... more
