This is a supremely comfortable B&B, very smart, quality fittings and décor, although some people might find the style a bit over-decorated, but that really is a minor distraction. We were given a large room, as we were on an 8 week trip from Australia, and had a lot of luggage - that was thoughtful and helpful. Amazing attention to... More

We recently stayed at Fleuchary House, taking 2 rooms, one for me and my husband and one for my mother. Both the rooms were outstanding! Ours was extremely large with a very comfortable king bed and open fireplace. The bathroom was quite small but that didn't bother us one bit as the room was so spacious. Across the hall my... More

We had a wonderful overnight stay at fleuchary house, no 29, it is comparable to many boutique hotels I have stayed in. Linda was lovely, friendly and helpful but not intrusive and she made a huge breakfast for us the following morning with everything we could possibly have eaten and more in the really beautiful dining room. Our room was... More

Excellent B&B in a good location in St. Albans that compares well with many hotels. The room was very smart, extremely clean with a lovely bathroom. There were many small touches that showed how much thought had gone into making guests have a more enjoyable stay, eg. a guide to the area, local restaurants, etc. The landlady is welcoming &... 29, Upper Lattimore Road is a b&b but competes favourably with hotels I've stayed in. The suite I had was large and sumptuous! The decor was beautiful. The room had all I needed and luxury beside! I had an enormous spa bath with jet-spray shower. The bed was super king size. The decoration was tasteful and calming. The full English... More

needed to stay for 7 nights in St Albans and have previously tried most of the quality hotels in the area Found the excellent reviews for No 29, on Trip Advisor, and sent an e-mail to Linda, the owner.....she replied virtually immediately ( always a good sign) to confirm availability. When I arrived I was offered either the blue or... More

We had a wonderful three-night stay in Fleuchary House. Linda is a gracious hostess and our accommodation was superb. Fleuchary House's location is excellent, less than a ten minute walk to the city centre. Breakfast was a delight, a fine way to begin each day. Linda was especially helpful giving us advice about what to see in the area, given... More

We stayed here for 1 night in April, on our way to visit friends in Cambridge. We didn't see much of St Albans, but the house is ideally located for walking into town. The room was lovely - clean, fresh and airy. We had a lovely ensuite and the shower was great! Breakfast was delicious, and very generous. We have... More

Before travelling to St. Albans I'd researched B and B options to death. I eventually settled on Fleuchary House due to its location and availability and wow! We stumbled on a great gem. Linda was fantastic from the get-go. We got a beautiful pink room on the top floor with our own ensuite. Our late arrival didn't deter Linda from... More

Everything about this B&B is lovely, hostess, breakfast, room, off street parking, etc, etc. Just to echo what other reviewers have said, we can't fault it. Also it's only a short walk from the shops and restaurants of St Albans and the mainline train station gets you into St Pancras in 20 minutes for the attractions of London. Highly recommended!
