I went down for breakfast and couldn't fathom out why the dining room was empty - had I got the time wrong ? Nope, it transpires that they charge a whopping £16 for a cooked English breakfast. A pleasant stay in a beautiful setting. Excellent staff and well managed family business. Made to feel so welcome and I really do mean that. I stayed here one night last week. It really is a beautiful building in a very nice setting. My room was comfortable, with an excellent shower in the bathroom. Have just had a short break at West Lodge Park Hotel and it was truely lovely. Its old fashioned in the best way with high standards provided by the staff and catering team. If you want to get away from it all cant think of anywhere better to go. We will certainly return and soon I hope!! more
