My husband and i have just returned from a lovely stay at the West Lodge Park hotel. We booked with a Virgin experience voucher and were upgraded to the Chestnut lodge. The room was nice with a comfy bed, big bath and walk in shower. It was also nice and quiet being away from the main building. We asked if... more

The staff here were very friendly indeed and very helpful. Food was decent but overpriced i.e £15 for breakfast. And £7.50 for a large rose with dinner... Also somewhat dismayed that chips seemed to have been shoved back in the deep fryer to reheat. However the bed was dismal - so bad I had to sleep on the floor. Also... more

We are deeply sorry that our guest found the bed so uncomfortable - we are replacing every single bed at the hotel in a rolling programme which will be completed by next year. The new beds are Hypnos pocket sprung beds, reputedly the most comfortable beds in the world. West Lodge Park is having another £400'000 spent this year, with...

Stayed for one night on business. The room was the biggest I've ever stayed in (and I'm in around ten hotels a month). Although their were a couple of small things that needed updating, I'd definitely stay again. I ordered room service and both the service and the food was excellent. I understand the hotel is under going some updating... more

I was very disappointed with the west lodge park. I was given the Jade room (room 20) and it was like a sauna. The heat was unbearable. Now I know what the fan was for!!! If not for the heat, it may have been ok - the decor is on the shabby side, the bed was ok but the pillows... more

I am so deeply sorry that some of our Trip Advisor reviewers have been disappointed with their stays at West Lodge Park. I can faithfully promise all our Trip advisor friends that we take every comment seriously and deal promptly with any issues that arise. During 2007 we have invested over £350'000 in upgrades at the hotel, and plan similar...

London , West Lodge Park: A bit shabby but good The setting for this hotel is gorgous, it's so quiet but you are so close to London so its worth putting up with the decor which is quite shabby and old fashioned - for me a good nights sleep in a perfectly clean good sized room with a good breakfast... more

Recently stayed at this hotel and was most impressed with the lovely building and lovely grounds. The drive to the front door is delightful and so hard to believe that you are still in London. Reception was handled efficiently and the room was comfortable and sufficiently large. The decor was bright, the furnishings functional and the room was clean. Breakfast... more

I've stayed at this hotel twice as a business traveller. The grounds and setting for this hotel are beautiful and are the perfect tonic and great place to relax after a long journey or busy day at the office, especially if the weather is good. My first stay was in the main hotel building, and I have to agree with... more

I stayed at West Lodge Park because I like to get away from it all to do some school marking and a bit of reading newspapers. I found a great deal of £99.50 from [--]. It really is a great deal: afternoon tea, Dinner bed and breakfast and a light lunch! The hotel itself does not look much on the... more

Fantastic location, far away from road or aircraft noise. Well maintained grounds & gardens for walks & afternoon tea on the lawn. However let down by how tired the place looked. Our bedroom, although very spacious, looked in need of decent refurbishment- torn nets on windows, chipped glass in bathroom, loose bathroom tiles. The bed was truly awful- a trampoline... more

Lovely hotel - excellent grounds - very peaceful stayed here more than once. BUT....rock hard beds and dreadful restaurant menus. The same menu repeated for months on end. That's OK if you like their style of food - but we didn't. Much better room-service menu. Stay here and eat somewhere else and take an extra duvet to sleep on. more
