We stayed one night in the last week of august, We arrived before lunch but we were able to check in as were showing to a lovely bright room looking out onto the garden, the room was furnished to a good standard with old furniture that had been painted white and co-coordinating curtains and bed-covers. There was a kettle with... More

We booked this at very short notice due to family illness. Looked lovely from the outside and room looked comfy and big. However, it would appear that the hotel is family-owned and was leased/managed out but the leaseholders had "done a bunk" and two young girls were running it. We wanted a drink in the bar but had to be... More

We booked afternoon tea for a colleague who was leaving after having an excellent experience a month earlier. It was very disappointing, room was not set up when we went in which spolit the wow factor. Sandwiches were nearly all cheese and limited cakes. Had to ask for more sandwiches. Very disappointing.

I've had the pleasure of staying here lots of times with work. The rooms are plenty big and well equipped with comfortable beds. The breakfast in the morning is the best in Hereford. My only criticism would be that the hot water in the showers can be difficult to control - sometimes it's hard to get it cool enough. The... More

I stayed at this hotel during the first week of new ownership. Both Stacey and Frankie were attentive and genuinely friendly hosts, willing to do anything to make their guests welcome. I stayed for two nights for a wedding nearby an thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was newly renovated and spotless, the bed was very comfortable. There were a... More

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it may have been a business trip but I had a great time! The food was amazing, including the cakes! The bar was cosy and had a massive selection of drinks to work your way through (I had a hangover to prove it too!) My room was large and comfortable; the decoration... More

Accommodation and welcome were both good. Breakfast however was a complete disaster led by a guy who really didn't want to be there and was as surly as they come. Mould in two pots of Jam, no milk put out for cereals and when we asked we were given a very small jug that was barely enough for two cups... More

Booked this on the recommendation of another hotelier who couldn't fit me in. I was not disappointed. The staff were most certainly not of the 'seaside landlady/Basil Fawlty' variety. In fact almost the opposite, I was walked to my room on arrival which is always a nice touch in a new hotel. Yes its a bit different but isn't it... More

Pros: - Service, hospitality - Breakfast - Location (10 minutes walk from central Hereford) Cons: - Doesn't do evening meals (has just changed hands, so bed & breakfast only) - Wifi signal only available downstairs in the lounge - Next to a main road, so traffic can be a bit noisy

Just spent a weekend at this excuse for a ‘boutique’ hotel; the building may look attractive from the outside, although the garden is sadly neglected and in need of TLC but as soon as one passes through the locked front door, the disappointment begins. The welcome was frosty, reminiscent of a seaside landlady's in the 1950’s. The man who checked... More
