We enjoyed a weekend in August 2014 staying at Somerville House and singing in the cathedral. The hotel is a little outside of the centre, which adds to the walking time (though we found the taxis to be cheap and plentiful) but does mean we weren't troubled by any noise from outside. The hotel is nicely decorated, comfortable, and served... More

This Victorian house is a lovely and welcoming place. The rooms are large, well appointed with the best minibar we've ever seen (full of local goodies -not just alcohol - at high street prices). Owners and their staff were really friendly and accommodating, and the food and comfort was of the highest level. Definitely recommend for all types of visitor.

Stayed for one night mid-week in Aug. This is a fabulous B&B. We received a very warm welcome from them on arrival. We had a twin room on the ground floor, that had everything you needed for a welcoming stay from the toiletries to the well stocked mini-bar. The breakfast was yummy with a wide selection of things available, they... More

We stayed here for something of a family get together using 3 rooms for 3 nights. The rooms were all good sizes with large bathrooms and plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits etc and lovely toiletries. The mini bar was well stocked and the weather was lovely so we took advantage of the large terrace overlooking the beautiful garden. It was... More

This is a fabulous B & B. We totally enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful and quite big. There was everything in the room, hairdryer, ironing board, mini fridge and Tea making facilities. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff were superb.

We stayed as part of a large group of families travelling to Hereford for a wedding - 9 rooms in all. We received a very warm welcome from Lesley who couldn't have done more for us -arranging hair appointments for some of the higher maintenance ladies and printing boarding passes for the technologically challenged. Lauren and Meg looked after us... More

We stayed here for three nights as a part of a largish group of friends, on the recommendation of one of the group. We found the hotel is relatively to find, with ample parking. We arrived rather early, but were given a hugely warm welcome. Our room was large, well-furnished, quiet and comfortable. (We particularly commend the mini-bar, and its... More

Splendid hospitality and a warm, friendly welcome awaits at Somerville - despite our inordinately early arrival we were served tea on the sun terrace. Throughout our short stay Rosie & Bill went out of their way to provide every comfort and assistance. All rooms have a well-stocked minibar at very reasonable prices and a very thoughtful range of toiletries is... More

I stayed there for one single night in a single room - a last minute booking, but very good price. The room although was slightly small - was very neatly kept, with all facilities that I sometimes even have not found in star rated hotels. The place has a car park and they provide a very good breakfast with plenty... More
