An excellent hotel.. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was well worth the extra money. Sherry, milk in fridge, 2 TVs comfy bed, complimentary fruit and water and free Wi-Fi. A real sense of luxury and style. Location is great, a short walk from the cathedral and town centre. We had afternoon tea which was also superb. The restaurant... More

I loved this hotel! I came for a gathering at the cathedral and loved the convenience of just a short walk there, as well as the town and park being very close. The town house (just a short stroll from the main hotel) room was smallish but luxurious with nice touches - fresh milk in the fridge, biscuits and fresh... More

An excellent hotel! Very nice rooms. A real sense of luxury and style! II think all rooms are spacious. Location is great! The restaurant was quite crowded although it was a tuesday evening. Many patrons seemed not to be guests but locals, hence indicating that the restaurant has a good reputation,. Our food was good, but not spectacular. However very... More

The Castle House Hotel is a great find and a wonderful place to stay. We booked the Town House (No25) and had a suites 20 on the basement and the two rooms above on the ground floor. This was absolutely perfect as both suits had access to its own private garden (perfect for evening drinks in the sun. Both suits... More

Stayed here yesterday evening. The deluxe luxury double was absolutely that !! We stayed in room 14, the Albert , and although pricey was wellnworth the stay. The highlight for us was having dinner at the bottom of the garden alongside the moat. It was absolutely fantastic, especially as we were the only ones to be eating Al Fresco. Exceptionally... More

My husband and myself stayed here for one night, the staff here were all really nice, pleasant and polite, nothing seemed too much trouble for them. My niece was staying in the bridal suite, which was a great room with a four posted bed. The room we had was not in the man building, but in the town house, a... More

We splashed out and went for one of the suites, it was really worth it. The location was perfect and really picturesque, well located for visiting the cathedral and town but at the same time slightly set back, so very peaceful. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

Stayed for just one night and took my aunt to the hotel for her birthday dinner. We had a large room on the ground floor overlooking the garden. The room was very well appointed and included nice little extras like bathrobes and slippers, as well as practical things like a fridge, iron & board, hairdryer etc. The also supply good... More

Mindful of comments in other reviews regarding some noise from events in the main hotel, we paid a little extra for a suite in the (almost) adjoining town house. It was worth every penny and we left after 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast thoroughly reposed and satisfied. The initial reception was friendly, caring and efficient, which was true of... More

My experience at this hotel was very good. All the staff, that we came across, were very good; from Ben who helped me book the book through to the staff in the restaurant. They helped to make our stay a lovely experience. I had the added pressure that I had arranged the stay as a surprise for my wife's birthday... More
